So, what if ME3 had PVP in multiplayer?

 

We can't really judge player versus player as there would just be no way to do that here but we can certainly speculate, create science-y sounding reasons, smart-like sort of logic and made up stuffery that can lead us to one conclusion or the other on.....

 

what if you could have the Human Vanilla Engineer go head to head with the Human Infiltrator?

 

In your very smart, totally logical, absolutely backed up by BSN facts, opinion...who would win?

 

(Up to you how you want to decide. It could be a combination of powers, passives, weapons, and consumables....I'm sure you can figure out a reason why one would come out on top BSN)

HE all day every day. Not even a contest. . Drone would laugh at TC and stagger. HA vs HE would be very tough fight IMO.

While the Cloak is an I win button generally, in the context of my post it's absolutely nothing more than a question of who is quickest on the draw. If the Engineer is first, there is no immediate threat from a cloaked headshot, and the likelihood of a Fire Explosion being the killing blow increases significantly.

Well if the HI has phasic rounds he might win, but a nice instant stagger with the overload might make the HFI a very easy (and unprotected) target...

Assuming their loadouts are the same as what is available in an MP match, HE's combat drone is superior to the prime's and would cause stagger rage, prompting to HI to lose one medigel. However, after expending anywhere from 1-3 medigel the HE would eventually roll out of the stagger rage then retaliate by rage-rocketing the crap out of the drone and HE. At that point it would just be a fight of attrition between rage rockets and stagger. HE would still probably win.

In PVP, stun trumps all. HE has drone stagger and overload stagger, plus tech burst stagger. HI may have cryo blast slow, but that doesn't compare. Unless there is a gear similar to Devestator mode that grants stagger immunity, stagger kits would rule the day, unless maybe they incorporate stungate, similar to health and shield gate where once you get staggered you cannot get staggered again for 3 seconds or so.

Not if wall hacks are in play. You generally don't start any game face to face with your enemy. As much as I like HEs a boss infiltrator can shoot through something like 15ft of solid object with the right setup. If you can't lock onto the sneaky bastard your drone and shocks aren't much use.

Off topic: Ridiculous. Right person, right kit and anything can be OP. I watched (giggling) the other day as three Krogans put on a display of force that rivaled anything infiltrators could do.

 

OT: Still think the HI could take the HE. Cloaked sticky 'nade or two to the forehead is a sight to behold.
