EA/Bioware I'm disappointed by the decision to make this Downloadable codes instead of a 2nd disk. My internet connection is not the greatest and I can't reliably download stuff at a good speed. I would love to play through the DLC's since I have heard great things about them but instead I can't get this at all. This would've been a triple dip for me but I can't in good conscience buy this. You just lost a customer and it's a shame because I want to get this but I can't, due to my internet not being reliable.

I'm also boycotting Andromeda over this, I'm tired of being burned by companies that don't respect their customers.

Physical DAO ultimate edition did the samething iirc.

Hell you should even be lucky Bioware is even doing a GOTY edition for DAI, they never did one for ME which forced people to pay more money then normal.

The Dragon Age Ultimate Edition that I bought on 360 had the 2nd Disk for DLC's. I did get unlucky not having the patch to fix witch hunt but that was a small sacrifice that I was willing to accept. I don't see why we can't have a 2nd disk, to me it's greed at this stage.

It's not even used sales for me since I want to get this day 1 but with it being codes only and my internet not being reliable with downloads because Sony is incompetent with developing a good online system for the PS4, I won't be able to get this. It's a shame too because I've heard nothing but good things about Trespasser and the difficulty challenges would fix the one thing that absolutely annoyed me with DAI. Plus the patch fixes, being able to change a face after creation is a godsend, unfortunately that won't be the case.

I'm curious, since they provide a code that gives you the content for free, just what does "greed" have to do with it? Greed must mean a very different thing where you come from?

Well the dlc voucher codes with the goty edition ruins the reason I wanted the physical version for so.... they just have lost a buyer in me. So the GOTY Edition just won't feel like the GOTY edition like the Mass Effect Trilogy having none of the games dlcs. So..... screw it. I'm out. Didn't feel like picking Elf roots while doing shoddy mmo style side quests anyway.

Nope.

However, while I do think it's an odd decision not to include everything on disk, people need to remember this is still a good VALUE. If you were to buy the vanilla game right now and later purchase all the DLC, it would cost no less than $90 MINIMUM. At an initial price of $60, this is actually a remarkably decent value regardless of how the DLC is incorporated.

Stfu most of the time the point of things like this is to just make it the full package an for people that don't really have internet connections.

So you should be lucky an stfu

Its not that its not a great value its that most of the time with a goty edition all the dlc is already there because most people like physical copies of games due to terms and services an such so its not out the norm for people to be mad about something like this.

Wait, DAO and DAI get one but the ME series doesn't have a single GOTY edition? I understand why DA2 never got one because low sales but it never made sense why the other series never gets this deal.

Yeeaaah, I could really use a ME bundle with all dlc for my XO. I mean, I've seen other 360 games and so called Definitive Editions on the XO that were previously on the 360. They are spit shined a bit, but nothing major. Bundle it up at a decent price.

I don't know why they won;t give it to me.

But yeah, DAI bundle sounds cool. I've already got all that sooo, yeah. But hey, BW, if you want some more of my money, give me ME.

I already have DAI and all DLC, and I was going to buy GOTY edition if the DLC was included on the physical disk......I prefer having it in one neat package and not needing to download DLC. Unfortunately I don't think I will get it now, it defeats the purpose if I have to download the DLCs again anyway :(

Ah, very well done, EA & BioWare. Once again you show us how customer friendly you are.

What happens in 20 years when your servers are offline because there will be other companies having better market share and better customer support (which isn't difficult anyway)? Where do we get the DLC then?

Oh, and I'm still waiting for the DA 2 'Game of the year' edition. And Mass Effect.

In what way?

For me it's the story you can tell with a fixed protagonist, seeing it done this well changed my perceptions of fixed protagonists entirely.  Because Geralt has a fixed history, the interactions with NPCs have much more depth, a simple question like which love interest becomes: Yennefer the love who is like you, or Triss, the love who is like the person Geralt feels he should become, the passionate and cynical, or the warm. caring and romantic?  Things like that carry on, into the old enemies, the places the world itself.

You care about Ciri because Geralt cares, and you see that history in cut scenes, hear it in his voice, his old friends, well the history makes them feel like they actually do know each other.   That's just me ofc.

Funny how they plan to release this in the same month as Witcher 3's first expansion Heart of Stone. Bioware did the same thing back in May when TW3 released and Bioware released the Black Emporium and Jaws of Hakkon (PS4, 360, PS3) in May.

CDPR is waiting for you. They have been VERY customer friendly since the release of Witcher 3.

CDPR today is what Bioware used to be 10-15 years ago.

Good thing the rumors of EA buying CDPR were not true.

It just seems weird how whenever something TW3 releases, Bioware/EA tries to counter with a release of their own in the same month.

Poor Bioware - when they release content when certain other games happen not to, they are accused of trying to avoid competing and when they release content when certain other games happen to as well, they are accused of trying to competite.

Bioware seem to have a knack for always finding themselves attributed motives, agendas and conspiracies.
