Now wolves ... wolves are everywhere.

I blame Solas

edit: If this is a physical release it at least suggests the game is selling well. And if it gets really heavily reduced I might fancy getting it as a way to pick up the other two DLC.

Good to see a GOTY edition for DAI.

If you didn't like TW3 more then DAi before act 3, then I doubt your opinion will change since act 3 is extremely weak(and almost utter **** near the end)with horrible writing, characters going massively OOC, plotlines dropped, plotlines brought out of nowhere, Eredin and Avalac'h turning into jokes and massive retcons that damage the story in the climax.

Fascinating.  *arches eyebrow* Just I have a friend who is really into the Witcher and she keeps saying 'just wait till you get to the ending'.  Honestly I like the Witcher very much but I'm not in love.  And I am to the point where I am about ready to start act 3.

Persoly, I enjoyed DAI climax more then TW3s climax, since it didn't destroy one of my fav book series and turned so many characters into giant idiots or did massive retcons to established lore in the last 30 minutes.Admittedly if you don't read the books the chances of enjoying the ending are higher.

Wait, DAO and DAI get one but the ME series doesn't have a single GOTY edition? I understand why DA2 never got one because low sales but it never made sense why the other series never gets this deal.

Has Trespasser been patched to work correctly yet?

The ending is divisive. I disliked it myself, but I got one of three variations, the third is quite a bit more thematic and poetic but I didn't get it. No spoilers tho.

As for the game having a GOTY, that is slightly surprising given that the three previous Bioware titles didn't have them. Might be that this speaks well of EA's confidence in this game to have a bit of a second life with al lthe DLCs, and especially Trespasser.

Which I don't.  Not sure how muhc interest I have in reading the books at this point either.  Not with my long ass reading list certainly.  Game of Thrones has got me mega stoked to read ASOAF series which is 3rd on my list of series to read right now.  So mayyybbbee after that?

    Immersion Witcher > DAI

In what way?

In every way, I feel like BW despite its best efforts have never really created an Immersive and belivable world, it all still feels like its just manequins standing around you, while when i play witcher I feel more like if I was walking around in real world, the lack of converstion camera also makes it feel like if I was playing Diablo
I dont know exactly what did they do wrong in DAI but it just feels plastic.

It is an improvement from DA2 though.

Ah I see what you mean here.  And yes Witcher does do a lot of things better then DA I in that regard in terms of 'video gamey immersion' for lack of a better world but I few so much more invested in the world of Thedas then...whatever the heck Witcher is called.

Witcher books are way better than some game of thrones crap :P but then only first 2 ones the saga series just suck ass. DOesnt change the fact witcher 3 ending was kinda weak.

Edit: yes u feel more invested in thedas exactly because you ddidnt read the books :P theyr really good though should try them.

In what way?

Lets give an example. You go into Redcliffe and all you see is a bunch of npcs all in groups that stick in place, talking about the war, with the rare NPC moving. There's no feeling that they are suffering or anything. Now lets look at some village near a battlefield in TW3. Houses are in shambles, villagers are crying or in pain, all houses have little furniture and osme don't even have beds (peopel sleepign on the ground) you have people who are not static and have schedules.

That's just a village. Every place has life in it in TW3 which is not the case in DAI outside looking pretty.

I got the base game in January for like $30, so honestly I don't feel bad about this. Good deal for those waiting to jump in.

Might have to do with being two different teams. Maybe Casey just didn't care where Mark does?

More like they want to make us buy all those DLC's individually for full price.

Agreed, i wanna blame last gen, but that does not excuse the horrible animations they do while they talk to eachother. Atleast its better with the animations than the static npc's. The Witcher 3 does that part alot better, to bad about Act III as you mentioned earlier, which just ruins everything.

As for the Goty, this is a great deal for people who haven't bought the game yet or just lacks all the extra packs outside the main game. Trespasser should be played, its probably the best piece of Dragon Age content ever produced.

Biowares animation is pretty much their trademark at this point.

Why should I care about the Witcher here?

You shouldn't. Because only six years old boys bring up witcher praises while slamming DA.

7.       Your choices matter – Alliances will be forged, enemies will be made, and you’re the one in control. As Inquisitor, you’ll be faced with many decisions, and your choices will shape the world around you.

No, people who want to see Bioware improve their work bring up witcher praise in certain areas that Bioware needs to improve. Not everyone who brings up witcher is like Dutch(and people like that should be ignored). Side missions, art design and animation needs to be improved big time in future games.
