Wrong. Their tactics in dai. I's based on how you build your character and what abilities you plan to use in battle. I don't mean that auto attack menu. I mean the player actually making plan to get through a fight.
No No NO SHUT UP
I MEAN THE PLAYER DOESNT NEED TO MAKE A PLAN TO GET THROUGH ANY FIGHT lmao
Why do you think they did what they did to the Spirit blade.
You don't need to plan out anything you just need to basic attack and do a ability here and there.
because you seem to forgot the plot here is a link:
check out right side...
see act 1: bandits and act 1: city watch?
yes two different things.
next...
beside the multitude of the options here which takes part in previous quests you got 2 vigil options:
guards get you:
and thieves get you:
that's in act 2. based on choices from act 1.
also during the trial if in previous missions and travels you acted in certain way then you could "win" the trial and prove you are innocent while being d-bag will net you guilty.
That's not changing my point.
I'll give you an example. In DAI you can pick mages or templers. Doing so unlocks characters, missions, and boss who are vastly differnet in motives and tactics.
Picking Mages have you hunting down red templers with Cullen, later finding their base and motivations, and a way to weaken the last boss or not.
Picking templers gives us Ser barris, hunting down vints with Liliana, Motives for Cory, Motives for Caprina, and on option to fight her or not.
Both effect what happen in the arbor wilds and how you get to the well of Sarrows.
JE has something like that.
Kotor has something like that.
ME has something like that.
It's just that none as the choice to side with the bad guy.

Dude, there is so muc more you can do with your attacks than just pick them and let the stupid AI control everything, its called tactics and its not implemented in this part because itll sell anyways xD DUENOVO FTW

Bs. no. The fact the most the enemies has immunizes to certain magic on nightmare means you do have to plan tactics to fight in some way.
Not rly dude, your the fanboii, fiercely defending BW. Ofcourse story and lore is theirs but then one could argue that most of it in the first part of Dragon Age was actualy a Ripped off Witcher with changed names and PEGI put on it. That really puts in question creativity of BW studio. Though like I said I am not going to fight with you over the story, I think both are good and I like them.
And I still stand with my opinion, BW's gone greedy their games are more and more comercial and they degrade with every new title and DAI is a great example of it.
WAIT WHAT!!!!
How did BW rip off anything from the Witcher? PLz explain because I didn't catch it can yo explain please.

Dude stop that's on every level
OMG WOW HE HE CANT BE FROZEN WHAT EVER WILL I DO NOOOOOOOOO
OH YEA ILL JUST USE SPIRIT BLADE DUUUUUH
OR OH WAIT ILL JUST USE ONE OF THE 7 OTHER SPELLS I HAVE OMG SILLY ME
OR OR OR ILL JUST BASIC ATTACK BOOM SHAKALAKA
It's where the last battle with Coryfish happened.
It's a prom only shot of Haven being floated by Cory.
I think it is during the final battle when Corypheus lifts the Temple of Sacred Ashes in the air to fight you, and that dragon may be an early version of the dragon that joins you if you drink from the well. Maybe they planned on that dragon surviving at one point and after killing Corypheus but before you seal the Breach(since it seems originally the Breach would be there the entire game) it does that scene as its victory dance. Or it was just trailer magic.
I did ask if it was in DUAtW, but I wasn't sure because it seems like it's day-time and the rocks look a bit different. But yeah, it's really old, so that's not that weird. I guess I was mostly just surprised at the dragon. And yeah, I think the Breach was supposed to last the whole game too.
I mean I'm not saying either one had a super amount of fine tactics but at least The Witcher had some while DA:I had none.
In DAI im started with the rogue class /assassin dual dagger. For the highest effective combat in the early game i often paused the game, zoomed out and set waypoints and combat talents for my party. And here is the main difference, in DAI you can control a party of 4, in W3 you control only 1 character. Sure i could have controled only 1 character but im rather not, i never grinded for XP.
In W3 i pumped up Geralts Combat Skills going for the highest damage and used signs only as secondary, and i was mad because there is not enough skill point to actually fully develop the character, the XP/mission is glitched too.
Drinked 1-2 potions before tough fight, cast sign, holding down the defense, rolling when the griff attacks, counter, recasting sign, that is. Mostly skill based gameplay.

I'm confused on the point your trying to convey lol sorry? Are you saying the Witcher is a more skill based game that Inquisition or the other way around?
Its about BW keeping up their quiality level. Cause they get GOTY while they shouldnt
How is Game of The Year a mark of Quality anyway? So many sites give it out. I would be more impressed if they said they were a Bafta award winning game

Neither did you in DAO or DA2 outside a few fights as those games where just as easy as DAI.

Spirit blade users were always op from DAO. Also, since the patch 10 it's no longer like that. And just blindly attack does not work. If you planned out your gear, you're using tactics.

I'm sorry did I say they had tactics? No then what's the point of saying this? I said that DA:I have no tactics it has potential to have amazing tactics but they decided to not give anyone really tactics to taking down enemies, environments are not as interactive and shaped well enough to use spells like Ice Wall and such, there is no tactics menu and the AI is horrid sooooooooooooo.

The point is Witchers combat system works the way it should.
While in DAI you shouldnt need to pause to the thinngs u said like it was in DAO, the camera flaut not to mention the console steering ....
And most importantly you cant make best of your 4 companions skills if you cant set the tacitcs like you could in DAO
Hence Combat degrades with every next generation of game, thats why we complain XD
