Just nearing the end of my playthrough (I haven't played the game in a long while) and I'm currently doing the Temple of Mythal rituals.
Several times now the puzzle has reset even though I did NOT step on a square twice. Last time I was just a few squares from finishing the largest puzzle too. To say that it's aggravating is an understatement.
Am I doing something to cause this random reset, or is this a known bug? I don't remember having any such trouble in my first playthrough.
I've attempted the puzzle six times now. Each time, before I get to finish, the puzzle resets, even though I have not stepped into a lit square. I've done two of the three already. It'd be a shame to abandon the whole effort now, because of this aggravating reset, so I'll keep trying for a while yet.
Ok, posting the "fix" here in case anyone's effected by the same trouble, and does a search - toggling into walking mode and walking through the whole puzzle, instead of running, seems to have done the trick. Was able to complete it, finally.
I just finished that on saturday or sunday....it worked fine for me! I even did it for the first time all on my own without looking it up!
Absolutely no problem on xbone
