So after seeing that I can put glyphs on all of my allies I'm trying to get glyphs onto all of them as early as possible and keep them on. I've been doing:

Tanks: Frost: get them damage resistances

Daggers: Lightning: they all have movement speed buffs, so why not make them faster?

Ranged: Fire: Increase attack power and punish enemies that think going after the ranged fighters is a good idea.

I can't help but think there is a better way and that each character benefits greatly from different glyphs.

Damage on everyone.

If someone is really low on promotions and has trouble staying alive I would say damage reduction on those people.

If someone can't stay alive i recommend a lightening glyph. Faster movement and dodge an attack every 10 seconds

Fire for damage

Depends on what you're doing. Speed runs? Lightning. Everything else is fire. If they have trouble staying alive, frost.

I've been using damage reduction on CQC, and damage for ranged (myself included).  I can see though movement speed would be a big bonus for daggers.

Wavebend showed some calculations for damage reduction being really bad on higher difficulties. (I don't know where he got the info)

  • I prefer to put lightning on everyone except higher level Promotion Lords which get a fire glyph.
  • The Inquisition Captain can get lightning glyph, which can save him from a hit every 10 seconds.

Inquisition Escort gets Lightning

People who die get Ice

Alright, sounds good. I knew it could be done better.

I don't think he was talking about damage reduction that benefits the players.  Those work well.  I believe he was talking about damage reduction along the lines of Disable and Crippling Blows (reducing the damage dealt by the enemies).

"Damage Reduction" passives (not "Damage resistance") are trash for players on higher difficulties

Giving lightning to the captain doesn't make him charge ahead to his death even faster?

I only play on Routine and Threatening, and I give Lightning to everyone.   I have not seen a failed Routine in a long time and Threatening rarely fails, so it is speed run for everyone.... well everyone except me.  I get the fire so I could be on top of the damage list muhahahahaha......  Yeah I am evil like that.   It is also pretty to see people running around in purple sparklies.

BTW, I remembered playing with an Orange_AppleXXX (XXX is a number) in the game.  Is that you OP? :P

Also it is actually really hard to put fire on anyone but yourself.  By the time you get to lightning, everyone runs off.   Once in a while, you get someone who would run back... I often wonder if they run back because

1) He/She wants to know what I did to his/her body.

2) He/She realized that he/she could run fast and just testing out the speed by running back and forth

3) He/She came back to ask for fire buff....

BTW, does anyone else thing the ice buff looks like you might need diaper?   Especially at the victory screen standing there among the excitment and cannot hold it in anymore.....
