I'd take a dwarf female with a beard before a Qunari.

"Assuming Control!"

*CoM, unable to control his own actions, begins singing...*

Chantilly Lace had a pretty face
And a ponytail hangin' down
A wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk, Lord
Make the world go 'round, 'round, 'round

Ain't nothing in the world like a big HORNED girl
To make me act so funny, make me spend my money
Make me feel real loose like a long necked goose
Like a girl, oh baby, that's a-what I like

You forgot the spirits.

After Justice and Cole, it's time for a female spirit.

Perhaps one that turns into a desire demon when romanced?

I'd be very happy with a female dwarf and qunari as companions! Especially if the dwarf was like Sigrun, I adored her.  ^_^

Harding hasn't made a huge impact on me yet, but I'd be fine with her returning as a companion. Preferably there would be another significant female dwarf though. So far, we've only worked with three female dwarves: Sigrun, Harding and Valta. Sigrun was the only companion, and only in dlc. Only Harding was in a main-game (rather than dlc). It'd be good to see more than one at a time!

After Justice and Cole, it's time for a female spirit.

Definitely! I'd love to have a female spirit too.

I rather liked Command in Crestwood, but I doubt she'd consent to being a follower rather than a leader. :P The Lady of the Forest was pretty interesting too. A very unusual kind of spirit, and one that didn't need to manifest in a human body.

A desire demon would be interesting if she disguised herself in human form like Imshael (but female). I'm not sure how we could convince her to work with us though (and presumably we'd need to keep her true nature secret from the companions). It'd be interesting if betrayal was a factor there. Like unless you could keep a deal going, she will betray you (maybe with the intent of possessing your body?)

She didn't need a human body because she was bound to a wolf.

We don't need anything, really.

Except DA4. That we need.

---

We should have less 'human' companions; Origins we had Shale and Barkspawn. II and Inquisition we had no such things. We had Justice and Cole. But they were human in that they used human animations and a human model. Nothing special.

Maybe one of the "Scaled Ones?" Be cool to have a lizard person in our squad. I liked Qyzen Fess (the Trandoshan companion for Jedi Consular) in SWTOR.

Actually I think we need more female companions in general.. I need more options to have my women only party. We only got 3 in DAI as opposed to 6 male. And 2 of those 3 had very tough personalities. I still hate Vivienne and Sera is known to be a least favorite companion too, even though she grew on me a bit. But it would be nice to have more female companions that can have a strong personality but are a bit more likable, like Cassandra or Morrigan. Yes, some people didn't like Morrigan and just want to slap her in the face but you can't deny she is one of the most memorable characters in DA.

I fully expect to see Lace in DA4, and hopefully a major Qunari female too.

Yes, give me all the qunari ladies. Even better, a lesbian qunari. Scout Harding could be a companion in the next DA but i'd really want a female qunari companion.

And pls, this time make them female. Like OP said, we already had male dwarf and qunari, twice even.

Bisexual! I want in on that action too!

(Her being lesbian wouldn't stop me from romancing her.)

We need? Why?

Since when Dragon Age games have quotas of characters?

Writers need the right to put who they want.

Let's get more specific.

We need a Tamssran companion for a Tevinter Magister protagonist in DA4.

Everyone always seems to forget poor Sigrun

That's because she can't be romanced.  Why do you think people here are so hung up on Harding?

A thousand times yes, I would personally love a female Qunari squadmate or love interest. Even though I always play as a human in Dragon Age, the Qunari always fascinate me and the idea of having a big, muscular woman looming over me thinking "You..little man....I like you" is both hysterical and wondrous.

A female Qunari who's possibly a saarbas would make me think she's Korra (the Avatar) but actually good at what she does.

...Tevinter Magister protagonist in DA4.

Assuming, as seems likely, that we get to choose our class in DA4, a magister PC seems unlikely.

Probably, but given that the end result might be disappointing, I might as well just enjoy the self-hype period.

Ah yes, I forgot that! It'd be interesting to have in a companion. Taking Dog's role in combat (or shapeshifting between that and something else?) and having a person's role in the story/dialogue. Lots of possibilities!

Sten and Iron Bull, Ogren and Varric. Lets change things up a bit.

Those were my two most requested companions. The series is long overdue for a female qunari on the team. Also, I would have preferred Scout Harding over Sera. So hopefully we also get a female dwarf in the next game.
