There were a couple concept art pieces displayed during the E3 talk that didn't really look like they belonged to either ME or DA that I thought MIGHT be a quick glimpse into the new IP. They looked rather contemporary, if a little cyberpunk-ish. I'm at work so I don't have the time to go hunting them down, and they might just be throwaway pieces, but still. Interesting idea maybe.

Yeah, like the Witcher and DA comparison wasn't bad enough already. It's funny how the developers are on friendly terms and congratulate each other, and yet the fans can't stop dogging and comparison the games constantly, even when the game mechanics, gameplay, RPG experience are totally different. The only thing they have in common is the medieval setting.

What's wrong with trying better? When you've got competition it's easier to try to be better at what you do.

Because you compare 2 different products with 2 different gameplays from 2 different companies from 2 different countries with 2 different development cost. The only thing they have in similarity is the the medieval setting. Why not comparing Final Fantasy games with Dragon Age as well since they are both RPG?

In other words, you comparing apples and oranges.

I'm sure the games share a common target audience that likes fruit.

Yes, they share common target audience which is RPG just like people who like watermelons, bananas, alongside with apples and oranges, but that doesn't mean they are the same just because they're fruits. There is no need to comparing things that are different.

I never said they were the same.

I never said you were. I'm speaking in general.
