Don't all RPG's have the main character being a colossal world changer, heck don't all games?
I can understand not wanting them to be seen as these godlike beings, but recognition comes with the territory of world saving y'know.

I wouldn't mind a smaller intimate story with a personal conflict that isn't the deciding factor in the fate of the world or universe.... maybe not for ME:A, but for another game or franchise.
If you think the bioware protag's are OP try fighting in any game without your party. Easier to do in DA:O as you can keep making mana and health pots, but still that cool down.
Actually I always thought that ME was the easiest Bioware series to solo with all classes. DA is doable with some classes and builds and not with others.
Geralt isn't really an ordinary person, you were probably thinking about a protagonist that doesn't really get things to happen how they want all the time. I'd like this too.
the thing i liked about the witcher and geralt, is n that world, nothing is as simple as choosing a ''paragon OR renegade'' .. its much more complex. sometimes choosing the right thing can cause more trouble than doing wrong. sometimes doing wrong is ''Less Evil'' thats what i like about the witcher. the lines between good and evil are blurred. which can give you more freedom, at least thats how i felt. because i always end up doing ''paragon'' whenever i play mass effect. and playng the witcher actually was a fresh of air.

what if god-like beings were normal though? not a lot of settings I know of that support that outside of Marvel, DC, and certain versions of D&D though.
