ROCK ARMOUR for me.  I use it at least as much as healing potions I figure.

Re stealth, what are the dynamics of it.  If an opponent is aware you are there before you go into stealth are you sol?

I've had very mixed results at times.  some time i can go into stealth and enemies act as if i am never there, other times they are blasting away at me.  Does it depend on if anyone else on the team is still up?

(Here is my scenario from a few days back, myself and anther player were duoing and doing pretty good, I was a hunter i think.  At one traditionally sticky point on a map the other guy goes down.  I don't think I can kill the two enemies who took him out so I wait behind a pillar until stealth is recharged, i stealth and hope to run over to raise him.  Instead I stealth step out behind the pillar and get gunned down in seconds.)

I'm not 100%, but when I played quite a bit of alchemist I would go into stealth all the time in the middle of combat and they'd be none the wiser.

Spirit Resistance. Demon Commander brings back bad memories of his release and I make damn sure he won't kill me.

Usually none, but when required I guess it's Rock Tonic and Healing Mist.

Confuse can be fun :)

Rock armor, normal healing potions, mists, regeneration and confusion rounding out the top five. I'm wondering if pitch shouldn't be put in the mix a bit more and bees retired.

Then there is always that part of me that believes Antivan fire is good for something other than cooking a hot dog. Before I quit the game I should quickly join and leave random routine PUG matches, just hanging out long enough to heave out 2 fire potions. 127.5 matches later, and a legend is born...

As for stealth, 95% of the time I could be in plain sight, stealth, and the enemies seem to lose all tracking. Occasionally, there is one smart cookie who still is able to pursue you to some extent, but in general it seems to be working as intended.

Health potions aside, fire resistance cause screw you, Calpernia.

Stealth seems to dump aggro for me if the enemy hasn't started its attack animation, and after that's completed.

U must play with a lot of scrubs if you mostly use Rock Tonic and Healing Mist. I pity the fools you play with. :)

Fire resistance i use at times for the dragon but it simply does not seem to last long enough for Calp whats her face.

The only reason Smurf use a rock tonic is the possibility to teabag longer and harder with more spectators. :(

Health Potions - Regen Potion ------- Healing Mist (if I have equiped it)

Resi potions (only if I fight a dragon)

Antivan Fire or Bees (if I remember that I have them with me)

Also, by a rule (my own  ) I'm not allowed to use health potions before Zone 5.

Sometimes I use Mighty Offense potion, but I don't see a difference between using it and not using it.

---

To stealth, I was fighting Qunari yesterday with my Assassin and went into stealth right in front of a Spearman, he kept turning towards me when I tried to attack him from behind, but his spears didn't hit me.

-Rock

-Mighty-O

-Healing Mist

Except the 2hander chars, they get a confusion or pitch grenade I almost never use (instead of Mighty-O)

On Stealth:

It takes a few seconds before they stop attacking you, always move away when triggering Stealth.

Some attacks keep tracking you even after going into Stealth.

-Full Draw on enemy archers

-Spine Barrage on RT Horrors

-Despair demon beam

Usually bourbon, but tonight I was thinking of pretending I am 19 again and going malibu and Sprite.

Did I misunderstand the question?

Since I'm mostly just playing threatening right now, and my weapons are plenty powerful for that (well, except my 1-handers.  I can't find any decent ones :( ) I tend to run around with Health Potions, Regen, Healing Mist, and whatever I happen to click on on the potions screen.  That way I really don't care if I have to solo zone 5 like I have quite a bit lately.  It may take a while, but I sure ain't dying!

Stealth was changed a few patches ago so that it behaves like Fade Cloak: it stops outside abilities and attacks from interacting with your character while you have the effect. Are you playing on one of the last-gen consoles?

One thing to bear in mind is that the game tends to prioritize anything mid-animation: for example, if you enter stealth partway through an enemy archer's kneeling shot animation that's targeting you, it will still complete the attack. I believe a shield guy's charge behaves the same way: once the charge starts, it's considered an extended animation.

Stealth does not interrupt anything mid-animation: the animation has to complete before the game does its "my target has vanished, now what" routine.
