Just asking if anyone has done a playthru without recruiting Vivienne and what effect it has on trespasser end credits, Sadly I recruited her in the main game and thru stupid in game choices accidentally made her Divine ( Not my intention at all!). Have started a new game and have no plans to recruit her, but Id rather not have to wait 100+ hrs to find out the answer ... Please alittle help of where I should look for info.
What happens if you don't recruit Vivienne (main game) in Trespasser?

I would guess nothing happens at all. No mention of her no end credits slide as she you know never was a part of the Inquisition.

Wouldn't she just not be there? That's what happened with Cole for me... Tho he kept appearing and disappearing... it's like he was watching me! Kinda creepy....

He was actually a party member your whole game. He just made you forget about it.

Yep. She's just not around and there's no mention made.

Thats Great News, I was worried she would sabotage my freed mages playthru, but if she's not mentioned in end credits perhaps she has no chance to destroy College of Enchanters.

She will be mentioned in the credits, she will rebuild the Circles.

They went through great pains to ensure that the College and Circle both exist even in situations where one makes no sense existing, so even if it isn't mentioned, the circle will be reborn because Bioware wants it there as a common starting point across world states.Thats Great News, I was worried she would sabotage my freed mages playthru, but if she's not mentioned in end credits perhaps she has no chance to destroy College of Enchanters.

I didn't have Vivienne in my game at all, but there's a slide with a Vivienne-like figure that says that a Circle of Magi arose (on itself, I presume, it wasn't said that Divine Victoria aided them in any way) and began rivaling the College. They're in uneasy coexistence or something like that.

Why would she try to destroy the College lol?

Well, she does that in the original epilogue
In the end, they refuse Vivienne's invitation to rejoin the Circle of Magi and instead reform the College of Enchanters as a new order.
The reaction from the new Divine is instantaneous: a war to dissolve the College before it begins.
Some mages surrender; others return to the Inquisition. Either way, the new Circle of Magi stands triumphant.
As I understand it that gets retconned by Trespasser. I always wondered with what army she was fighting them with anyway.

I did a playthrough using only Cassandra, Varric and Solas. Did not recruit any of the other companions. Obviously Solas leaves at the end leaving me with just Cassandra and Varric. I haven't played the trespasser dlc so I would be curious how it would play out. I guess time will tell when I get the dlc

Please let us know. I know Dorian still shows up as the Tevinter Ambassador, his conversations a just a little less friendly but he is still available to join the party. I only had the one playthrough and it was because I wanted to see Cullen and Leliana play chess..

It might be a while before I play the dlc since that playthrough was deleted long before the dlc was released and I still have to purchase a ps4.

Since she can't die (sadly) and her companion quest has literally nothing important in it. I'd say everything with her stays the same.

Interesting; if you kick out Dorain then Cullen plays with Leliana? I never knew that. I love that after 9 months of playing this game and doing it different every time that I still find new things I never knew.

Or do templars recruit quest and once you get to skyhold don't talk to Dorian at all until you've had the cullen-Leliana chess scene, so before actually recruiting him you can get it too. Since I always have Dorian that's how I got to see the Leliana chess scene.

Its not surprising to find things that the player didn't know about. I'm sure there are things I don't know about with the number of playthroughs I've already done with DAI.
Here's a thread about things discovered in the Mass Effect games that people are still finding even though ME3 came out 3 1/2 years ago

I'm not sure what people find so difficult about this issue: there was a huge political split in the Circles of Magi. Not everyone wanted the kind of freedom the rebels ala Anders and Fionna wanted. This is a political split: the mages themselves fracture between the ones that want a Circle and the ones who do not, with the difference in Divine being on which side of the dispute orthodoxy of the Chantry falls, essentially.

If you don't recruit her, she remains her awesome self who leads the Loyalists and forms the Circle, which she doesn't need anyone's support to do.
I don't know why people would avoid recruiting her, she is probably the most valuable companion who brings the most support to the Inquisition (even if it isn't reflected in gameplay terms).
All hail Divine Victoria!
