Just wondering because i plan to punk off every addition that tries to join my inquisition. For starters i dont really need them anyway. It also tends to be a lot easier to equip everyone without having members that i never do intend to use.

 

I plan to roll with the original four. I am satisfied with them, inquisitor tank hybrid fire mage, a two handed hybrid tank, a support healer ice solas, and a low aggro high damage auto fire varric.

 

As i said i dont need anyone else because it kind of seems pointless to have more. So my question is will i be missing a large of amount of side quest content? This is my 2nd playthrough now. On my first i just kind of turboed right to the end with all the companions.

 

So far i have punked off Vivenne and The elf girl . I guess next is Cole, Dorian, Iron bull, blackwall,

I heard blackwall has a cool side quest so maybe ill just take him ?

Each recruitable character has one side quest. They're probably not that interesting if you don't care about the characters, though, so I wouldn't worry. You won't be missing a lot of XP or loot.

 

I strongly recommend playing as a mage and/or recruiting one optional companion if you're going to play Trespasser on this save at some point, otherwise you will be stuck with only three people in your party for the DLC and no mage.

three people would be an interesting challenge. and the inquisitor is a mage so thats alright

From what I understand Dorian is still in Trespasser even if you didn't recruit him and is available as a companion in the DLC.

Huh. That makes sense, since it would otherwise be easy for somebody to end up with no mage if they didn't recruit Vivienne and Dorian or Dorian left. I didn't realise, since I haven't played it on the one Inquisitor of mine who didn't recruit him. Thanks for the info!
