ok I'm close to the end of the descant dlc... factastic addition to the game I'm just mind boggled from something weird....

ok so...

beside the HUGE amounts of xp and money I get...

there is that expedition war table in the deep roads where you can do missions.

to my surprise there are 2 missions there which one will give you fade touched silverite (5 guard per hit) and the other mission will give you 60 influence... for free!

this is by far the most funny thing I've seen so far in the game.

and let's ignore the stupidly huge amounts of T4 schems I got from the dlc so far.

those missions are much better then farming gold at the regular war table... 200 gold and 60 influence? hell ya.

EDIT:

ok just tested now the lyrium staff u get from the patrol mission is sold for 1600+ gold each.

I never do the bastion of the pure patrol war table op.
That way I can go back and slaughter all those waves of sha-brytol all over again and collect all that gold, over and over again.

I like this DLC but it is a little short. It has some fun fights.

yes.

I wonder if it scales to your level?

if I could do this as soon as possible I would definitely go for at the moment I reach to skyhold...

the amount of influence, money and schematics you get there is amazing.

I didn't know DAI had a descant dlc. Does it add a descant to the main theme?

Yes it does scale.
And I typically do Descent fairly soon after arriving at Skyhold.
That's me though...

It scales? I thought it started off at a high level which is why I play it at a high level.

Descent has some amazing fights, the combat system starts to come alive when you fighting a horde, in the base game its weak as you only fight waves of 3-4.

templar in descant:

1. see mob hordes.

2. charge in.

3. stun them with wrath of heaven proc'd with heal per hit upgrade.

4. if you are like me u got hidden blades and guard masterworks so you got those activated.

5. spell purge and combo hits all dwarves for 3-12k damage.

and I'm glad it is scaling.. considering with this playthrough I get all teh schematics from the start and all decos for skyhold I don't need to purchase anything just do descant and be rich.

I so platonically love you back. Misspelled thread title and a musical term to boot!

Descent is very cool in the fact it scales to your level even with Even Ground off, you can come in, do a few levels and leave until later and all enemies scale up with your progress and, of course, once you find the T4 schematics you can Golden Nug them and spread them around.
