The group that I run with have done around 60 NM dragon runs. 2 of us have received a Hakkon. Given the claims from others (150+ NM runs), we have gotten pretty lucky I suppose.

 

I also got 1 Hakkon from a 2000g requisition chest.

Many players I play with got it very quick after they had all required items but I am spending gold and gold and nothing

I am at 2,4 million gold collected atm. When I pass 2,5 million (the so called 10.000 items) and get into the highest loot tier can I expect to find random hakkons in store chests? Will I suddenly start getting my missing lvl 27 weapon and amulet pieces?

I received 5 Crescent Shadow from store chests so far, but no hakkons whatsoever.

Don't need the blues, but you need the purples that you get by having the blues.

Just keep any level 26 blues you come across.

Just adding my recent experience regarding Hakkons

I got my first hakkon ( the staff) on my 3rd NM dragon run many months ago. then nothing for the next 120 runs,

So i deleted it ( was lowest dmg anyway). then ran another 60-80 or so NM dragons, still nothing

.

Finally last week I started spending my saved up gold, had about 250k saved. I was spending it about 50k at a time.

 

Last Saturday I got the staff again from a 2k chest, again lowest dmg

then Sunday I got the 2h sword from a 2k chest.

then Wednesday I got the dagger from my last victory chest

finally Friday I got the 1h sword from a 2k chest

 

So in a week, with about 250k spent I got 3 hakkons from 2k chests.

So they are dropping from chests. Just keep spending

Dumb question, but how does one keep track of their loot threshold?

Keep track of you total gold spent. Should be easier now with the 10mil gold challenge to look at.

Total gold divided by 2000 , multiplied by 8

Roughly.... as you need to add in items you get from treasure room chests. But it's close enough this way.

Spent 2 million in store and only every got 1 Hakkon. The dagger.

This reminded me a of a dinner I was in this week.  Most of the women at the table were between 30 to 40 but the youngest one said next week will be my 26th birthday, I felt so old.  One of other women asked "who wants to slap her now?" and every female at the table raised their hands.
