The controls are fine if you play the game as an action RPG, and not like DAO etc where there was a lot of automated controls (click mob to auto move and auto attack them, click item to auto move to and pick up etc).

Can tell the game was made for MP.

Camera still isnt as good as DAO, still gets caught on terrain, but its workable.

UI, Inventory screen, skills tree etc are still horrible with too much scrolling. Skill trees from DA2 (whole skill tree on its side on the screen with no scrolling needed) and Inventory from DA2 (armor, weapons, rings. etc on tabs left to right is far better than DAI) are far better control wise.

Crafting screen is also terrible. No filter options, Arms and Legs schematics should have their own tab and crafting, upgrading and tinting all have their own seperate table and UI when they could have easily been on the same UI in different tabs. Just have to look at Witcher 3 crafting screen really.

Tooltips from hovering mouse over skills along the bar dont show any skill info still either. :(

I have just started playing again too, and since the last patch have been crashing randomly which is annoying.

They've added some mouse options and an autoattack button, but it is still nowhere near where DAO was. In terms of controls, the PC version is still atrocious.

Pretty much this. In terms of controls I've rebound most keys to be like DAO/2. I have my walk on "/", Pause as "space", and Highlight as "Tab" to name a few. Helps in making it feel like this is a DA game.

The game is also unstable at times, when moving the camera it might stutter, be sure to mess with the mouse acceleration options as this could help a little. Upgrading to Windows 10 however has made the game much more stable. If I could still use my custom resolutions then I would be on 10 right now, since it's buggy I've decided to stay with 7 for now.

The graphics are pretty intensive so if you don't have a very good gaming PC then don't expect being able to max much.

The UI is also unresponsive at times, it's the most annoying thing having to move the powers to the skill bar, good luck.

If I had to rate the PC port I would give it maybe a 5.5/10. (This is just on how the game runs and nothing to do with the story, etc.)

Hmm, you know the more I hear about the pc version and the more I read up on the dlc the more I'm thinking that I would be better off just grabbing Trespasser for PS4 instead of the GOTY edition. I was looking forward to shinier graphics and mods (which appear to be not playing well with Trespasser anyway) but I was kind of hoping to hear that all was well in pc land to justify the $60.

Don't be put off, people are exaggerating. It's perfectly playable.

I'm starting another play through (on PC) having put it aside for a while. When it came out I experienced a lot of crashes and found my decent (but not great) PC was having trouble on higher graphics settings.

It runs much better now, no crashes and runs a lot smoother, and it really appears that someone has done lot of work making the game more stable. I have an AMD card (can't recall which one off the top of my head and I'm at work so can't check).

DA:I's tactical camera is so bad, I suspect it was created by someone who is an enemy of tactical cameras.  Perhaps a tactical camera view killed this person's parents, and they are taking revenge with this tactical camera view.

I mean, there really isn't any other logical explanation.
