You can choose more than one option.
I think dual protagonists would satisfy everyone, but it would be quite tricky to implement.
New
But the idea of dual/multi protags is cool
I'm really feeling someone new or duel, I feel like the Inquisitor's part is sort of at an end as far as being out on the field at this point, of course I could be entirely wrong, I mean it's not like it would be hard to replace that arm and could certainly add a new mechanic to the game, but I also want someone new to take the light. In my game, the Warden is dead, Hawke is presumably dead (it's possible for him/her to survive in the fade), the Inquisitor is going to die eventually either by the mark or someone else kills them, sounds like someone else needs to step in.
I think, and I'll probably get a little hate for this, but duel protagonist in a similar way to how it was handled in the Witcher 3, with Ciri. Brief missions where you take the Inquisitor for a run. Perhaps, those missions could be you, the new protagonist and some companions tracking down Solas. The new protagonist would find information on this, either from a note left behind, someone recounting an event or even through a memory, as we saw both in the Fade and in Jaws of Hakkon (albeit, you couldn't actually play those memories), and then the mission with the Inquisitor would play out.
I think that could be quite effective, and it's not like that hasn't been done before in other games; just the Witcher 3 is the most recent that I can think off.
I picked Inquisitor though I won't have a problem if a new main character is introduced in the next DA game
My inqusitor story is not over
Inquisitor or dual protagonists (one of which is Quizzy). If the next game has nothing at all to do with Solas, only then I'd like a new protagonist.
Dual protags would be best if Solas is going to be involved in the main story. The inquisitor and Solas have a connection that a new protag would lack and it wouldn't feel quite right that a complete stranger is to deal with him, esp if the inquisitor is in love with him.
I want my Inquisitor back. I think the way the Trespasser ends is perfect to continue as current protagonist. I'm also curious how they plan to lead the relationship between Inquisitior and Solas. Just cant wait to see this. Dual sounds great but, honestly, I doubt it would work.
I feel like the Inquisitor has a stronger connection to the story after Solas explained his plans, so I guess that he/she would be a better protagonist for the next game. On the other hand, I think that combat would be awkward considering the fact that the Inquisitor only has one arm now, because pretty much all of the available classes require both hands. They could have a crossbow replace the arm (like the one shown in the epilogue where the Inquisitor becomes a Red Jenny) but I feel like that would render the Inquisitor's class irrelevant.
I would be fine with a new protagonist, but as I said before I don't think that anyone else could be more determined to stop Solas than the Inquisitor. I'm still excited for the next game, regardless of who we play as.
New protagonist, Inquisitor as cameo.
if we get the inquisitor as protagonist AGAIN, I'm going to be really happy of have all the saga pirate.
Dragon age Origin = Hero of Ferelden
Dragon age 2 = Hawke
Dragon age Inquisition = Inquisitor
Now we are going to have again the same protagonist just because some people want kill Solas with an invalid?
The people is really boring trying to make Dragon age as a copy from Witcher
New
New protagonist. Bioware isn't going to waste all the building up they've been doing throughout the years for Tevinter to focus on a character they introduced in a single game.
The more I think about the dual protagonists, the more I like that idea.
New protag with the Inquisitor as a cameo so they can be the one to kill/save/make-out-with/fondle Solas at the end.
New. They butchered Hawke in DA:I
I don't want some watered down overly self righteous version of my Inky.
Didn't like how they handled Hawke, so that means i'm not fond of the NPC cameo route. Dual protagonist might be fun(like TW3) but could be fun how my dual wielding rogue would be implemented with one arm(maybe those segments would be political rather than combat oriented). New protagonist likely easiest choice.
Two protagonists sounds interesting, but I doubt it can be done within one game. I'd like to see a setup like in Spellforce: The Order of Dawn and its expansions: You could play one protagonist in the main game, another one in the first expansion and continue either one in the second expansion, with a slightly different questline and a signficantly different tone. Those expansions were almost as big as the main game though, else it wouldn't have worked.
Of the simpler options, I'd prefer a new protagonist and no Inquisitor cameo. Hawke didn't work for me in DAI.
New protagonist only.
