I think even with soft rules in place it would be an immense feat since. Solo archer play is heavily reliant on abuse terrain, kiting, and draw range already. Though I'm not sure what you meant from farming from the BE.
 
I know a youtube series where someone has done a nm solo for SnS warrior, 2h warrior (kind of amazing), and bow rogue but I have not found anyone who has done it for mages and certainly not under the trial system.

There are several KE solos, pre Patch 10. Here's one (naked means no armor)



Farming free schemas from BE uses the Golden Nug. You use some character that has lots of gold. Save. Buy as many schematics as you can from BE. Sync to Golden Nug but do not save. Reload previous save, which effectively refunds all the gold you spent. Buy more schematics (ones you didn't buy before). Repeat until you've bought all schematics and refunded all your gold. Now your target character is loaded and syncs from the Golden Nug. Voila, all of the BE schematics for free.

I see, however, in the run I'm talking about, you would not be able to use crafting at all or extremely limited in the tier of schematics and mats and as always the hardest part of the game is the part following up to skyhold as specializations will often grossly overpower game content, especially something as pre patch KE.

 

With enough enough luck and reloads you would be able to farm a tier 3 weapon schematic from vallamar early on and for the most part, negate most challenge the game could throw at you, at least with a stealth capable character.

 

Or even a tier 2 weapon from the chest near the tents in Haven right at the start of the game! I'm kind of surprised they sprinkled these 2 chests so early in the game.

I thought you meant WITH crafting and WITH all trials. I didn't realize you meant NO crafting.

 

That is near impossible. I now agree with what you originally said. With crafting, it is doable, without, I think that's just one too many obstacles. If anyone does it, they are wasting their time playing games -- that kind of patience would make Mother Theresa look like Church Lady.
