I have max favor with the Dalish and the Keeper gave the Loranil permission, and Loranil has joined the Inquisition. But the quest is still active. There's an exclamation point on my map where Loranil used to be. Pretty sure it's a bug; is there any way I can get the darn thing out of my journal?

Yeah, it's a bug, but there isn't anything you can do about it now. It's like the specializations quest. You have to accept all the quests for the exclamation points to clear. If you talk to Keeper Hawen, get the "Grace of the Dalish" quest, fulfil the quest, and then recruit Loranil, the exclamation point will never clear. I usually talk to Keeper Hawen to get the "Grace of the Dalish" quest, talk to Loranil to get his recruitment quest, then complete the Grace of the Dalish quest and actually recruit him. Annoying, but I doubt anyone will patch it now.
