Yes, I still plan on playing this game, but I hope that there is a gore toggle. It is very annoying to have blood constantly spattering my computer screen.
You will be able to turn off the gore.
So yes, there is a gore toggle, but it won't stop death-blow animations etc. and any objects lying around that have blood as part of their mesh will still have full blood too.Quote: Posted: 06/0509 18:57 (GMT) by Bruce Venne

I would like to know how this toggle will work: will it disable blood splattering and decapitations? Will it supress some cutscenes? Will it disable deathblows (fatalities) and some spell effects? If I turn gore off, will the game run better?
Toggling off gore will not disable deathblows or spell effects. You just won't see the gore associated with them. Ex., decapitations, the head still comes off but without the Monty Python-esque blood spurts.
As for performance withour gore, not a clue.
Exactly. Can never get enough blood and gore.drakeyuuhi wrote...

Some people are sensitive to seeing blood everywhere.
Good for you, violence toggles have been confirmed to be IN!Torrius wrote...
I don't want them to hold back on making a good game but toggles would have been nice. My 10 year old son sees my interest in the game and I pretty much told him he wouldn't be able to play. He's played Diablo 2 and NWN 2 but I think the simpler graphics made it acceptable. But the improved graphics along with the mature themes, partial nudity, blood and violence just push this game past the limit of what I will allow him to play.<br />

Again, let me reiterate that I don't want them to dumb down the game or target a younger audience. I'm fine with it just the way it is and I'm going to buy it and enjoy it... it's just not for my kids.
Fallout 3 doesn't, however on the PC you can toggle it off in the ini file. Maybe there's a console cheat code too.. But it's not in the general settings of the game or anything.foxwood1084 wrote...
I can't think of a game that didn't have a gore toggle on it. Or at lest an on of switch.
