I'm feeling Feynriel will have a part to play in our struggle against Solas in the future. Does anyone have any insight or theories into this?

It would be interesting to see him again if you sent him to Tevinter

For many of us, Feynriel has been studying in Tevinter becoming very powerful. Alternatively, he was sent to the circle, or made tranquil, which we now know is reversible.

I'm sure Solas has magic against being spied upon in the fade and his dreams. So I'm not sure how much use he'll be against him?

You have DA2 under your name, so you have.

It would be a bad idea to send him to spy on someone way out of his league

If you've beaten the game, you met him - some of his quests are mandatory. But granted he's not always the most memorable character.
Basically he was an half-elf with the power to walk through and control dreams at will. Demons wanted him.
His problem is that he's a bit of a Shroedinger's character - while he's never dead, in my "pure evil" playthrough I fed him to a demon. He's basically Freddy Krueger when you do that.
What I hope for is that one day all my evil Inquisitors will get their comeuppance for feeding folks to demons. Nothing too fancy, but in Mass Effect 3, some sacrificed characters showed up on the field as enemies, and a boss rush of a possessed Connor, Amalia, and Feynriel in some demon's layer would be awesome ![]()

He's too important and the Kirkwall circle was destroyed in Act 3 so he would've ran off and Tranquility can be reversed so he can escape that too. He's a dreamer, he'll show up in DA4.

It'd be so poetic to have a halfbreed rek the Nazi elf.
Well stated. I would love this.

More to the point, we need to find a way to stop the Dreamer Solas from spying on us through the Fade and also killing those People who threaten him too much by the same means. Tevinter may well have the answer there because they have had to deal with Dreamers themselves. If you are in a romance with him he continues to enter your dreams and he was able to walk into anyone's dreams when he took us into that Fade Haven. He claimed it was because of the fact that we had the anchor but I think that was only a convenient smoke screen to the fact that he is a Dreamer. If the fate of Felassan is anything to go by then I don't think Feynriel would stand much of a chance against the Dread Wolf on his own patch. He could prove useful spying on some of Solas' minions but it would be a risky business.

Dreamers might be the closest thing to 'real' people current Thedas has in Solas' eyes. He doesn't seem to care all that much about race, if only because everyone is just soooooo far below the ancient elves. Dreamers though? They come pretty close. In theory.
EDIT:
I'm actually curious about how dreamers work with the current Veil setup. Is Solas a dreamer? Like officially?

I think depending on your choices he can be dead or made tranquil? I don't remember, I never actually killed him. If he appears, then probably not a big role, since a lot of things can happen to him. But I don't think it was an accident we were introduced to a dreamer who we had to save, because it seems like it was foreshadowing... Maybe we will learn more about dreamers in Tevinter.

Did Solas kill Felassan? I know this is off-topic.
Yip. Cole says something about the Slow Arrow breaking in the Sad Wolf's jaws and how Solas 'had' to do it cuz Felassan 'thought they were people.'

Rumor has it, or codex rather, that Adralla of Vyrantium found a defense against dreamers.

Damn, totally forgot about that, it was a long time since I had to use it in DAO. And since it was used differently then, it is easy to forget the entire codex entry for it.
Good find, wonder how many other tidbits that could be useful in the future we forgot about, or glossed over at the time.
I get the feeling mages will be in high regard very soon, good thing I sided with them on my main playthrough.

I'm sure he just mysteriously gets cured.
