I love the krogan melee but about half the time I have a whale of a time trying to get it to connect regularly. Maybe I need to L2melee. Or host more.

1. Some of them have hammers.

2. They're straight-up unforgivably and irredeemably loud. Especially the ones with hammers. The regular ones weren't obnoxious enough? I mean, c'mon...the race that is already far too obnoxiously loud and someone decided to give one of them a melee weapon that triggers the single loudest sound file in the game? It's like someone recorded two novaguards having sex at a Pink Floyd concert, cut the file to its one second length and compressed it all to hell at Metallica's mastering studio. And they're not even charming-loud or funny-loud...

...no, Krogans are the Jerry Springer Show guests of the ME3 universe.

3. While many play them well, the Krogan Vanguard & Sentinel each tend to attract (along with a couple of other kits) the lowest common denominator of PUG life. On the whole, when there's a douchetard in your match NOT helping with objectives that douchetard is 23% more likely to be a Krolord/Krosent than the next most douchetardy kit.

I have noticed that sprinting to the target seems to be a more forgiving way to track the heavy melee.

I respectfully, but strongly, disagree with this sentiment. Especially the sentinel. Poorly played krogans get synced and stomped out in trash mobs a lot. Pug all-stars like kits with insanely high DPS potential or survivability, usually both. Krogans aren't particularly maneuverable and their passive isn't very good. I respect a well-played krogan.

I agree with Nightslasher that (melee) Krogans are kind of boring and monotonous to play. They are also tedious and meh in later waves specially when phantom - goon death squad arrives. However .. fire exploding soldier , barrier detonating shaman are nice change. But it doesn't help that (imo) Shaman is the worst adept.

Apart from that, I love see to well played Krolord. He is just so unique. Unfortunately I suck at playing him. My non-bsn friend mops floor with him. Its a glorious sight.

Please tell me what your drugs are, where you get them, and who your dealer is. He is an absolute powerhouse. Both offensively and defensively. He has one of the most powerful biotic explosions, 1850 health AND shields, with 40% DR, not even including rage DR. Can detonate multiple biotic and tech explosions, so works with any team...

 

Oh wait, you play on PC? If so, nevermind then, shockwave bug would pretty much kill him (Though maybe he'd make a spitfire candidate then). On PS3 though, he is an absolute beast, I use him on Platinum, and I'm a mediocre player at best, it's all him and his awesomeness.

Oh them Krogans...yeah, there's some things I don't like about them.

 

Getting pwned by a 100lbs. acrobat with a letter opener. I should be able to eat her and her clones for some bitchin' DR. Do not like.

 

Not being able to shake off Ravager acid like a wet Labrador onto my teammates and watch them drop so I can get an easy revive. Do not like.

 

Headbutting a wall and creating a hole so I can shoot through it doesn't work. Do not like.

 

That's about it.

-  There is no Krogan Infiltrator

-  Not all Krogan have some sort of health regeneration

-  Krogan allow other species to exist

Shaman has barrier, which is > phantom cheese and casts lift with so many benefits that its hard to even complain about the slowed cooldown.

Shaman has Warp + Shockwave, hands down THE MOST POWARFUWL BIOTIC SPLOSION IN DA GAME. He is a mook bully and a boss killer.

Shaman can Warp cheese.

Even without speccing into it, Shaman can still make a great melee kit.

I can agree with you that he may be second worst in terms of his power synergy due to barrier's adverse affect on cooldowns.  But give that mother****** a reegar and it's game over.

On gold, I even give him a Scimitar of all things, and still do very well (I wouldn't advocate trying this on platinum though). The trick for me is not to depend on his powers too much. I build him for melee, and headbutt as many mooks as possible to get rage going. Barrier can act as a panic button - not that shockwave cannot be used the same way. I use inc. ammo to prime FEs, and go shoot-warp-shockwave for delicious destruction on armoured targets. Sitting on ramps can even save your teammates the need to kite, therefore increasing their damage output, and lets you dish some melee damage against bosses too. Given is not-reliance on powers, he can be one of the better adepts vs. collectors actually!

He can be something of an aquired taste I guess, but offers a refreshingly different way of play the adept IMO.

Just tried a solo with this guy for the 1st time and I think he has great potential. Don't see much point in calling him an Adept though; I just used Warp for debuff and Shockwave to stagger a crowd of mooks. I think I only had 3 or 4 biotic combos.
