I'm sure a lot of you like watching let's plays. And it's annoying as hell that LGBT couples are rare pairings in people's playthroughs. So if you see any with Bull or Fenris or the like, post the channel here?

This guy played DA:I and other games, doing the gay romances. He is quite famous in fact. I love his chanel. And if you like tabletop, he has his own champagin and the story is quite interesting.

I do like his playthroughs! But my thoughts went along the lines of "Anders? He bad for you!" And "Iron Bull is kinky and wonderful". Besides, one channel shouldn't be all that's out there. More LGBT playthroughs should be known.

In case anyone is interested, I just started a Let's Play of Dragon Age: Origins where my male warden is gay. Also, I have plans to LP Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition, and Mass Effect where the protagonists are gay males.

I'm a hetero woman myself, but I watch youtube on and off, since it's fun to watch other people's actions and reactions.

Sometimes I'm very surprised to see that many people play very much like I do - I didn't expect that, being a 50 y/o woman and all...

 

I remember watching two giggling girls, I felt they were funny, I think they called themselves "2 girls" on youtube. I believe they had a "gay let's play", [corrected below, thanks SwobyJ] not sure though, and just now I did a quick search and it was awfully little of those let's plays I could find. I thought it would be more.

 

But I did see this one, well I haven't watched it, just made a quick search (I don't think it  has been mentioned, sorry if I missed something)

I'm not really sure how I got the Mass Effect symbol, it might be because I got the trilogy on PC/Origin, but I'm not 100% sure.

They're not a gay couple, but Geek Remix has two women, one of which is openly bi, I believe, and the other might be considered 'heteroflexible' (in terms of appreciation of same gender). Their DAI playlist is here (separate ones for when they played the DLCs), but they have other Bioware games too.

 

EDIT: It shouldn't be too annoying that its rare. Openly gay people are still less than 10% of even western populations, and couples that are gamers that will publicly post videos of themselves gaming would make it even more rare, even within the Lets Play sphere.

 

EDIT: I misread you. I thought you meant you were looking for gay LPer, not gay romance LPs. Sorry . I like Mr. Odd.

It was a year ago, or so, that I saw them, so thank you for the info. (my memory has always been poor, but I do try...I guess it won't be improved by ageing though...lol)

Yes well, to me (personally) it actually is, not annoying, but a bit surprising, considering a few things.

One is that there are so many, many millions of youtubers, but the other, probably bigger one in my case, I believe stems from my way of living, throughout my entire life, and my own perceptions - as me and my friends in Norway, Denmark and Sweden always, heterosexual or not, felt gay/bi couples as natural as any hetero in love.

Although, I do believe they are more open in Germany than we Swedes will ever be. (and it saddens me to see how we Swedes seem to be getting more and more "crippled" nowadays though - I don't know if it actually is like that, just a feeling I have, considering the (to me, negative) political situation we Swedes are in atm)

I don't have a problem with LGBT minimalization - in terms that less than 10% of all content on average addresses it, in one sense or another - but I do have a problem with LGBT erasure. I admired the protests of "We're here, we're queer (different), get used to it." and hope that this age of information means that society can never delete the presence and contributions of us (I'm gay) again.

 

It really did feel nice to see Mr Odd, a straight guy, romance Dorian. I've heard of others (including one friend of mine) do the same, and it makes me wonder if a part of the backlash towards the character is from some who actually love the guy but can't have that reconcile with their otherwise negative emotional orientation towards gays. But that's just armchair analyzing.

And thumbs up for Mr Odd! I didn't know that, but I have seen... I think it was a Morrowind (I might be wrong again) playthrough he did, and I liked him. Now, I like him even more.

(It was Syberia, I had it bookmarked to watch again - I'm hopeless...)

 

I have made a male character who will be [well, he doesn't know it yet, but I do have plans for him] falling in love with Dorian - as I myself, love Dorian to pieces, for whom he is! Not for me whishing he was hetero. I'm sorry, I don't know to express that properly, but I hope you all understand what I am trying to say.  (edit: for me, my female characters, he is like my best buddy Varric in DA2...aaand, now I feel I need to correct myself 'in a way', since Dorian is really way more ..I don't now how to put it, but he feels more real/sincere, [insert a good word for it here] to me - Again, I haven't played DA2 in a while, so I might not recall it correctly)

 

I do wish I had the skill and courage to make playthroughs on youtube (I have done a little for my family, but it's not on youtube - and...I'm honestly not very good at it)

I actually downloaded the Ser Gilmore as a companion Mod, so I will be going mostly through that romance; but there might still be some Zevran romance moments as well.

Humm, I kinda find him a little generic (I only did one Colsand playtrough - it's the one on my avatar - and I didn't finish it yet. I usually go with an Amell), and snatched Darrien (moded his face kkkk) because I like the spice that follows. But with this mod, how did they worked around the lack of voice clips for him?

The mod adds a bunch of lines, all voiced (not by his original VA, but still very well done). It is a really well done, and really fleshes out Ser Gilmore's character.

I started recording one, but was never happy with my performance and the games performance for that sake. Need to upgrade my computer. Dorian seems to be a very popular companion though, so yeah should be one out there.
