I really like the new abilities and combos you can make with this mage, but to be honest... I find her kinda rushed.

Some skills could use a better sound and particle effects. I just don't feel the "impact" behind most of her abilities. Also I don't like the fact that almost every "projectile" ability does not colide with other objects, therefore you can hit tagets through walls.

I hope we'll see some fixes for this character...

You'd think it was magic or something.

Which ones? I know Gaatlok's opener does that, but that's the only one I had in mind

Gaatlok's opener, flow and Shokasit's opener as well

You may want to double-check that information

And also, better sounds and better VFX is too much to ask; most of her abilities are reused assets (the glyph actually reuses an ability from back when the game was in alpha). Keep in mind that Luke pretty much one-manned the whole design process

I don't really care... She is well built and Qunari Shockers can jump through walls and floors and they ain't even magic.

That's cause Qunari Shockers are distant relatives of the kool-aid man. There was a wall between him and his destination. And now there isn't.

Oh Yeah!

In terms of Hissera, my biggest qualm is the third stage finisher spells. Almost all of the other abilities have animations that correspond pretty closely with their cast times, and mostly "feel" okay. The game has no animations for the cast times of the finisher stage, so you get this thing where she holds a pose partway through an animation and there's not really an in-game sense of how close your ability is to completion. Is it going to change? Most likely not. I do think Hissera, out of all the mages, would have benefited most from some kind of progress bar indicator for her abilities.

Yea, that's what annoys me most, just getting into a new area, and boom, a Qunari jumps on you. It's not the dmg that annoys me, but the impossible feat :P (let at least the walls crumble or something, I know, too much of a change, but it would at least make sense)

I found her a problem at first casting the 3rd stage of her spells, but then I tried...I think it's called Ring of The Kadan & the increase to attack speed's a life saver, I managed to solo the Qunari faction twice back to back thanks to that.

Hope that helps in some way

Yes, I'm an avid user of the ring. That doesn't change the fundamental issue that there's a mismatch between available animations and ability activation time

true, but it does go some way to help alleviate the problem , sorry I couldn't be of more help.
