Why, why, why do teams lose their nerve at the end of games and go to the three man rush on final drives.  You can't let QB's stand back there and dance around on 4th and 14 and play a stinking zone.  I'll never understand it.

Um...my alma mater has one of the best chess teams in the world? Checkout the 2008 championships...that was one epic tournament...yeah...

 

Side story:

 

One of the first dates I went on with my "now" wife was an on-campus "sounds of class" carnival. Chess booths were out in the open. I mentioned I enjoyed chess so we walked over to check it out. I ended up getting asked if I wanted to play. Of course I accepted, I was trying to impress.

 

Well, turns out the guy I was matched up against was the #1 ranked player in New Zealand and was attending our college on a full ride scholarship(to play chess). The match ended pretty quickly. She thought it was amusing.

On topic: This was a fun weekend challenge, I completed it without even realizing hit.

 

About the cowboys:  That was really bad game by Weeden, much worse than I expected.  I don't know if he was just scared, or if they really put the training wheels on him, or what, but he had a really bad game.  I figured he would be better than that.

 

About the Browns: it's JFF time.  If you can't beat the raiders, it's time to go find out what you have.
