Unfortunately, given the knee-jerk reaction to any company instituting a decent store because of people's irrational worries about games becoming "pay to win" you get stuck with the kind of half-assed solutions that we see here.  I say let those who want specific pieces of equipment have the option to buy them, for reasonable micro-rates in the store, and keep the RNG for those cheap-skate bastards who would rather grind 'free' in-game currency.  That way, everyone has an option to get what they want, even if it takes longer, for those unwilling to monetarily fund their acquisitions.  Besides, that would give developers more incentive to continue supporting their games, and adding content to them.

This is a given. Only question is will we have the duplicate / salvage RNG system (terrible) or the leveling RNG system (less terrible).

There's a pretty high chance ME:A will use a random loot function. The important question here is if it uses DA:I's or ME3s.

Perhaps I am naive, but I believe it has to use a style much more similar to ME3.  That game's loot system was pretty much universally hailed as being superior to what we gained in DAIMP.  The ME3 style fits much better for a shooter as well.  I'll be quite surprised if we get something that is dissimilar to ME3.

Are we getting a final Warrior class to balance out the number of Rogue/Mage/Warrior classes?

I can already tell you about ME4 multiplayer.

Main feature : knockdowns and staggers!!!!

Bioware's trademark mix of loss of character control mixed with more loss of character control is back!

After shield bearers in DAIMP who knock you down every hit. And Geth primes in ME3MP who stagger every hit, a new type of ennemy was designed.

SHIELD PRIME : this guy staggers you just by looking at you and knocks you down just by being near you.

Forgot to tell you SHIELD PRIME also has a 360 degrees shield around him so you have to kite him under a bridge while someone else snipes him from above.

With risk of sounding sappy, I appreciate the efforts of Billy and Blar on engaging the community and seeing this sinking ship to shore. I will miss Dragons and Donuts as it became a Friday afternoon staple for me for many weeks. I can only hope that We will see something similar in the future with future titles.

I only watched it twice. Once when Dragonslayer was coming, and again to figure out what the Varric book thing was. I'm only interested in that kind of thing when new content is involved, which has happened, what, once? That makes me sad.

That's not the only thing that needs fixing (looking at you, Hawk Missile Launcher).

Snap freeze upgrades, biotic charge off-host, weight of attachments on non-dlc weapons being broken, and on, and on, and on.

Hydra camping and 66666 builds should be fixed, too.
Also, nerf the damn Reegar...

Luke can you buff the Typhoon? A 1.75 multiplier would be perfect.

I'll LoL real hard if ME:A MP is PVP.

Back on topic, so is this like the end completely? If so, will you guys be nerfing the progression curve, buffing the gold gain per match and increasing xp gain to consolidate and bridge the gap between new and old players to consolidate what is left of the community?

Like they fixed everything in DAMP?

Hopefully now we can get some young programmers looking to make a name for themselves, who will fix everything.

Mass Effect. ...watch out!
