Yes you can have Negative, but if you're tanking, most things are going to be facing you anyways -- especially if you're using the Taunt on Flask of Frost. If you took that Necklace -- without any Flanking Damage (not a lot of Dex either), you would have a .75 flanking damage modifier if you struck something in the flank.
I personally think Andraste's Sacrifice is a better tanking necklace than Melka's, but Melka's is useful for survivability.

Right. It's 1 + your Flanking Damage, so 1 + (.25 + -50) is .75.
But what if your negative flanking is like -200%? Since the factor is multiplicative, kind of seems like you'll end up with negative final damage. Does the target heal every time you hit it? ![]()
Probably an adjusted_damage = max(1, final_damage) is in play.

Yep, minimum damage per hit is 1.
