I've started playing a s&s warrior for the first time. After a fight I got a blue radiating effect that kept pulsing and making a pulsing sound every couple of seconds. It didn't wear off over time, there were no icons showing to indicate any status effects were active, and using any of my abilities didn't shift it. I reloaded, but it was still there. I can't work out what it is, whether it's indicating a status effect or an ability is ready to use, or whether it's a glitch. It's happened twice in the same play session, while killing various things in and around Redcliffe Farms. I'm low levelled, using high tier gear thanks to the golden nug, playing on nightmare (again, thanks to the golden nug). I have a crafted shield that deals extra damage every 5th use of Shield Wall - I thought maybe it was indicating that was ready to fire off, but removing that shield doesn't get rid of the effect, and neither does using Shield Wall in combat or out of it. The only way I've been able to get rid of the effect is by loading an earlier save before it happened.
Is it a glitch? Or is it working as intended? If the former, does anyone know what I can do to avoid it? If the latter, what exactly does it mean?
It's really annoying.
