Hello,

At first I know that first hakkon has 12% chance and the second is 7% and so on, but what if I salvage the first hakkon, would the drop rate return to being 12%? or would this be the most stupid thing to do xD

The droprate is based on how many you have in your inventory at any given time.  So yes, salvaging your weapon will up your droprate.

Isn´t the droprate 15% for the first or did it change?

First we talk about dragon drop rate because drop rate from chest 0,1%. Second 15-7% only to first 3 Hakkon then its get worst. So if you have 5 hakkon and would salvage one it will return to you with 1% chance drop from dragon. I already did that with staff and it return to me after 150 dragons killed. Not great idea to salvage Hakkon just earn money and every 87 chest or 175000 gold if you already open 1250 chest (2500000 gold) you have 50% chance to drop hakkon or lvl 27 weapon or not.....

So yes, salvaging your weapon will up your droprate. - Bullshit!!!!

Not salvaging - you just need to open chests to lvl up your Loot tier. Max loot tier now is 10000 item (1250 chest). Salvaging wont up drop rate its Tier and it wont up also it just give you access to higher loot items. At max tier you have 10% chance that item will be at higher lvl and with in it 1% that it will be Hakkon or 27lvl.

Well, there should be a way for us to know in which tier we are in when it comes to opening chests or let us know how much items we have looted

Any word on that, biower? Will we ever be able to see our loot score?

It seems unlikely after hearing that some folks are moving on to other projects now, but it would certainly be nice to know.  If they would add this, an option to select faction and a sixth rogue at least I could be somewhat content.

(Yes, yes I know the silent sister is more a rogue than anything but it is technically labeled a warrior.  I need another rogue to balance the roster at six apiece.  You have it promote CON, wear heavy armor, wield a staff and shoot lightning bolts out of its eyes as far as I am concerned as long as it is labeled as a rogue.)

About manipulating your drop rates for Hakkon weapons through salvaging, there was already a thread a while back with a lot of input.  The short answer is that salvaging your Hakkon weapon will indeed reset your drop rate from the dragon to what it was before you acquired said Hakkon weapon.

It is obvious that willy919 is already in a high enough loot tier to get Hakkon weapons, so why are you saying he/she needs to get a higher loot tier?  Are you advocating ignoring the Nightmare dragons and simply counting on getting all 5 Hakkon weapons through buying chests?  If so, that is a terrible idea.

Trying to get my 3rd Hakkon is doing my head in.  That's around another 100 NM dragons and still nothing.  I'm tempted to scrap my 1 hander but the thought of getting it back on the next drop would just drive me nuts.

I'm wondering if the new lvl 26 purples are influencing the loot tables and diluting the chances of a Hakkon - ie.  a dragon drop checks to drop a lvl 26 then Hakkon afterwards.  This would be particularly bad since the new lvl 26 purples can be duplicated.

Off topic, but not entirely irrelevant; could anyone here enlighten me on the loot threshold? I read somewhere on this forum (shamefully forgotten which post) that the chance of unlocking new weapons is based on the loot items you've collected. I've been playing this game for weeks now, yet the store would deny me of new equipments, and would only give me low tier weapons, or recycled items which I've accumulated/salvaged a heap.

I was thinking the same thing. I have done 160 NM now, 110 since my second hakkon, and the third hakkon just won't drop. After hearing how easily others have found them before all these lvl 26 uniques got in the loot pool, I really worry about my chances of ever getting one. Sidenote, gf is at 20 dragons killed and hasn't even found her first.
