I'm forced to use my laptop at the moment due to a house move and of course I still want tyo play the Mass Effect games.
However Origin is giving me the error in the title and I've no idea now to fix it.
Googling for a solution gives nothing but mentions of Windows XP, not much use since I am using Windows 8.1 on the laptop.
Edit: Got things sorted. Origins requires files to run that it doesn't provide or give info about. Visual C+++ version 10 from Microsoft. The bundled versions don't work to run the game.

If Origin is giving you that error, have you tried making a clean install of Origin?
That's the first thing I'd guess to be at fault, some corruption in your Origin install. Anyway, if this an Origin error message, you should ask this question to Origin support or the Origin Answer HQ subsection to increase your chances to get a solution as it would be specific to the client program and not the games itself I presume.
