Who are supposed to be our followers in DA 4. There are no more than 9members in party-  Bio won’t change that and some characters were introduced already in another media like books and comics.

Warriors:

1- Michel de Chevin.

Specialisation: Champion or party wall. 

Introduction: one of main characters from Masked Empire. 

LI: handsome war god to anyone?

2- Unknown DPS - we always have one.
3- Unknown Antimage - for balance because there will be a lot of magical enemies. Not templar- too much for them.

Rogues:

1- Lace Harding. 

Specialisation: Archer. 

Introduction: Trepasser ending. Most likely she will be leading character- the story gives us the clue (no spoilers please). 

LI: I think they tested in DAI if someone like dwarf romance.

2- Marius. 

Specialisation: Assasin. 

Introduction: Mage killer. 

LI: too attractive not to be.

3- Probably Antivan duelist - they get a lot of attention in setting and for

balance- mix between distance and DPS.

Mages:

1- Maevaris Tilani. 

Specialisation: Support

Introduction: Those who speak. Plus WOT 2.

 LI: no. She is widow and still loves her husband. 

2- Calpernia. 

Specialisation: DPS

Introduction: Developers says she can come back. 

LI: Likely yes.

3 -  Unknown person. May be knight enchanter or new specialisation.

Dorian as cameo is expectable - play Trepasser for more information. 

We should not expect quinari female- they can be only leaders or Ben - Hasrath and we already have Tallis and Iron Bull. 

Neither for Grey Wardens- the story won’t be focus on them, more on Tevinter itself.

We shouldn\t expect our former LI too.

Good to see that I'm not the only one who wants to see Valta again.

I also would suggest Yavana, you know, she's Antivan, Witch of the Wilds and the perfect mean to bring back Shapeshifter specialization.

Yes but sadly Yavana suffering from a severe case of murder knife.

Well, Leliana revived, I don't see why she couldn't, especially if she has to protect a Temple without numbers like Sentinels or Sha-Brytol, also, her death is not mandatory, wipe out Alistair and no one will betray her.

And about Valta, it's just me or the last operation seemed to imply that Valta took Renn's corpse to some kind of resurrection.

Me? I think a cameo by Zevran would be nice and make sense due to Antiva. Seeing Fenris would be nice again, but unlikely. Anders as a cameo or Justice the spirit would be cool. Shale wouldn't be remiss. Not to mention the new Arishok(old Sten). Dorian the Magister is likely to reemerge and Iron Bull his lover will be a lovely treat. Scout Harding is a given.

Definitely I'm interested on see more of the agents, maybe Tamar could go to Tevinter as far as she can from southern Chantry, Sandal of course, and Feynriel, I know he can be tranquil or an abomination but, a cameo would't be bad.

Feynriel the dreamer will be awesom. Someone who might be able to oppose Solas on his own terms.
Sandal the savant and his enchantments will be invaluable. Hopefully his year of research in the Library will garner results.

Feneris if Varic asks for his assistance

Calpernia would work for a flavor choice but I wouldn't accept her into my circle of allies

Feynriel would work but who is in contact with him besides Hawke 

Shale could be in a Tevinter DA4 if Lelianna is in contact with her

Sandal could be fun

Scout Harding is a lock to show up somehow

Merill would be interesting as a dalish trying to redeem past mistakes with that elf mirror ... but she might be DA2 dead

Tallis would have interesting potential as a quasi qun agent like iron bull

Iron Bull might be unable to attend but maybe Krem cuz Tevinter

Michel would be interesting but may also be unable to attend

Marius and Maviveris I had to google to see who they were but they could work

And you did not have him on the list.  He is an Arcane Warrior (Dirth'ena Enasalin) by lore, perhaps a two-handed tank, like you could spec Fenris in DA2 if you wanted to?  Also, if Abelas turns out to be a spy, maybe he could be a rogue?  The KE does have that whole fade stealth thing, though it doesn't last very long.

Yeah, I'm really glad that the BioWare devs have more imagination than the people who want characters to stay dead just because.

I'd rather not do a resurrection and considering the response to Leliana's revival I doubt Bioware is eager to court that again.

 

Of those on the list, the ones I find most likely and most interesting are Lace Harding and Calpernia.

 

And I don't want more than the two returning characters, so things I'd like to see/would find interesting:

 

A Rivaini Seer

 

The Formless One (The last living Forbidden One, could be interesting to meet one that isn't trying to kill us, though I'd expect him to be much less benevolent than Cole.  Could be any class)

 

Tevinter Mage that isn't a "good tevinter" like Dorian

 

Tevinter non-mage that isn't a rebel against the system (I've grown very tired of those characters)

 

Tal-Vashoth qunari that despises the Qun

 

Maybe a dragon cultist?  Could be an interesting conversation.

Leliana's situation had no logic, they basically said "the Maker did it" unlike Corypheus and Flemeth, that use horrocrux or body jump. I don't see much people having problems with those two reviving, neither with Oghren and Anders now that I recall.

Most of them probably could be companions except for maybe Calpernia, because she is likely dead, and Maevaris Tilani because she is a magister and would unlikely be able to get away from her responsibilities.

Bioware left her fate pretty ambiguous, so she might return

I'm hoping most of our party is rebels against the system, whatever the system may be, because after spending the whole of Inquisition reinforcing the status quo, maintaining order, and protecting the powers that be, I aim to misbehave.

I think Calpernia is a relatively solid guess. Dunno why everyone is so sure about Lace, was there something in Trespasser I missed? Sure Dorian will be returning but I'm not sure he'll be a party member. I get the vibe Morrigan will be there too but I REALLY doubt she'll be a party member. Fog warrior maybe? Tallis? A fex companion would be pretty cool too but mostly cuz I wanna know what they are.

It's generally because each DA game has always had a character that was somewhat a link between the games, and Scout Harding is pretty much the only Inquisition character that would fit
