MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
I saw it coming. It's the Qun, what do you expect? He introduces himself as a spy and a liar. Because of that, you actually let your guard down a bit, but he's still a spy and a liar, and a very good one. His betrayal was in-character, just as him sticking with you if you saved the Chargers is in-character.

What do you have to do to get him to betray you? He didn't betray me, but from what I gathered by reading other posts on this, it's like a definite, his betrayal.

Ah, okay. You said it there.

lol hes a secret agent man. You never watched Bond ?
You can have him on your side though if you help his friends in his personal quest and Qun disowes him.

MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
So - let me get this straight:
You told Bull it was okay to let the closet thing he had to a family be killed for the qun, and you were surprised that he turned on the (second) closest thing he has to a family for the qun?
Bull's arc, both Tal Vashoth and qun-loyal, makes perfect sense in Trespasser and he's one of the best written characters in the game.

I liked that betrayal myself, was fitting for letting his pals die on that hill. Never trust the cuddlyqun. ![]()

Well everybody has a different view on things.Altho he was spy and liar i think a friend should count for something, at least in real life.As for his character...it fits his character but it still doesn't make right or good.Anyway i can't respect him anymore...i and solas..urgh.
That's the thing though. In his personal quest, you can either show him that friendship and love do matter, or you can show him that they can be sacrificed for, in his case, the Qun. It makes perfect sense.

Play your violin somewhere else if this post is all you can contribute."I can't respect Bull after I taught him that the Qun should come before friendship and love and he turned that lesson on my special snowflake self."

Only thing that bothered me about the scene was the Vidisaala's potential loyalty/ sanity in regards to the Qun was in question at that point in time. The DLC was sort of hinting at her being an out and out Tal-Vashoth, a Qunari agent hopped up on Red Lyrium so acting without orders, or an agent provacteur someone who gave the Qun positive deniability in the event things went to ****.
Though in the end she was still his superior, and loyalty under the Qun and following orders of someone with a fancy title is very Qunari.

Ill get it straight for you smartass, Obviously he didnt know about the quest.
That's fair enough.
Except - Bull says, in his dialouge about re-educators, that he once turned himself in for re-education. And he says at the party in the endgame that he's returning to Par Vollen. We know that Bull has been struggling with the qun for quite some time and that he clearly sees the Chargers as more than just a cover.
Bull was pretty clearly going to hand himself straight back over to the re-educators.
And there's no need to be rude. True, I was a little curt in my wording but that's just how I speak.

To be fair, your point doesn't carry that much weight itself.

Not my fault you ignored the actual reason Bull was with the Inquisition that he told you within two minutes of meeting you. He was to get close to the Inquisition and those in charge. He was a sleeper agent for the Qun and you gave him no ability for it to be otherwise. Your stab in the back was merely a matter of time.

Well obviously if you don't liberate him from the Qun he will stay loyal to the Qunari and eventually turn on you. I never do that to him. He is an awesome character and I always free him from the shackles of the Qun. He is easily my favorite member of the Inquisition.

Well, yes. Because that's the reason. Some are just saying it nicely, others less so ![]()

On this subject though while the IB thing was perhaps a little wonky (imo) this does suggest an interesting route for DA in the future under Pat Weekes. Iron Bull, Sera, Solas, and Cullen all suffered gigantic consquences based on what you did to them and their arcs in the game. Also Cole. Its bold writing whether they make it work remains to be seen.

What happens to Sera?
Edit: Wait, I thought there were 25 posts per page. Did I break BSN?
Double Edit: Ah, it fixed itself when I refreshed.
