I respect Bull more because of this, OP.

Bull must be the greatest genius ever, he tells you who he works for and some people still don't see the betrayal coming.

XDDDDDDDDD

Anyways, what does bull do if you dont take him as a party member with you ? How does he betray you ? ANy1 had that option?

Weakness one.

He can't resist my female qunari pc's  rack....on her chest.

I kind of wish we could start his romance before the chargers quest so I could be all "sleeping with the potential enemy heavy risk...but the prize~"

(That said I do hate how Bull's so stone faced to quizzy's flirts. Everyone else has some ^_^ :kissing:  ;)  type of reaction but Bull's all   or worse

CURSE YOU BULL. *kicks him down a flight of stairs*) *ahem*

But yeah XD

Yeah he comes out of nowhere and still attacks in the same spot. Says it was smart of you to leave him behind though so there's that?

But it does it makes perfect sense actually.

You are not Bull's Superior if you save the dreadnought. The Qun is. And the Qun told him to stab you in the back and so he did. You saving the dreadnought reaffirms Bull's belief that the Qun should come first. And so he puts it first. Even over the Inquisitor.

And yeah those loyalties of his...to the QUN. Bull is never loyal to you until save the Chargers. That's when you tell him it's okay to be disloyal to the Qun it doesn't make him mad (his greatest fear is madness). It doesn't make him a beast. The Tal Vashoth he killed were most likely not mindless beast either. You tell him all this in the post saving Chargers conversation.

I don't think you get that Bull was a spy for the Qunari. He is not the Inquisitor's spy. Bull wasn't a double agent til Trespasser he wasn't working against the Qun in base Inquisition.

There is no cover to be blown. Bull told you what he was from the start. Literally it's one of the first "I'm a spy" related line he has. I just recruited him not even 2 minutes ago. He was put in place to be close to you so the Qunari could exploit that. And they do if he remains loyal to them.

Yes. Bull was never loyal to you if you kept him in the Qun. That's the running message with Qunari is that they're fair weather friends and will stab you in the back as soon as their Qun demands. You gain Bull's loyalty by breaking him from the Qun.

The chargers design is part of him being tied to the Qun. If Bull is a Qunari he's going to betray you because the Qun demands you be betrayed for the greater good.

As for trusting Bull's character not if you leave Bull Qunari? You can't trust him worth a damn. That's why his Qunari name means liar. Getting him away from that means yeah you can trust him (he's still a liar though because it's ingrained in him at that point but it's not stab you in the back lies).

I don't know about you but that sounds like he is agreeing to let you intercept Qunari documents and he "Signed on" to the Inquisition.  To me that sounds like he agreed to be a sort of double agent at that point.  And again if Leliana was doing her job she could've figured this out before the 11th hour. He even mentions he has a weakness for Redheads...gee maybe he and Leliana had  something going on the side :P

I still can't help laughing at the boss bas pun.

Every time I hear it, I imagine a localization team quietly weeping at their desks. :D

For languages where there's no similar-sounding word for "boss", their options are (1) make the pun super obvious from the start, by having him call you "boss" anyway, or (2) omit the pun entirely. I also wonder what other locs did for the "better to burn out, than fade away" line in the credits. I saw a German playthrough, and Cassandra still groaned at something, so either the German translation for Fade also = their word for "fade", or there's some other pun in its place.

Well everybody has a different view on things.Altho he was spy and liar i think a friend should count for something, at least in real life.As for his character...it fits his character but it still doesn't make right or good.Anyway i can't respect him anymore...i and solas..urgh.

You told Bull what friendship was worth when you ordered him to let Krem and the Chargers die. He was their friend before he was yours.

The Ben-Hassrith know he's giving reports to the Inquisition.  They aren't thrilled, but they know about it and they allow it, Bull tells you this.  He isn't going behind their backs.  He's working with you as a Qunari.  He's working for both you and the Qun.  That's why his personal quest is such a crossroads for him, he has to choose between the Qun and his personal loyalty to bas.  If you don't do the mission, he's still part of Qun and still loyal.

That's not what he agreed to at all. He agreed to pass on some information in exchange for others. It might not be officially sanctioned but he certainly wasn't harming the Qunari by doing so. He even tells you he's giving you scraps but if your spymaster is worth anything she'll put them to good use. Not to mention right before he mentions the documents he states his actual purpose. Getting close to the people in charge. he flat out says this. I don't understand why some people are surprised.

That said yeah you'd think Leliana would've caught on to all the spies in the Inquisition. She's slipping apparently.

He turns on you, also, if you don't do his quest at all: ie, if the Chargers are still alive.

In which case you weren't a friend to him at all so of course he picked his job over you.

Another thing I'm curious about is all the anagrams for Dread Wolf.

Not only have you got "All New, Faded for Her", but Dread Wolf itself is an anagram for "Fade World" (which I must, must believe they planned from Origins, no way is that a coincidence). So do other localizations just drop it, or are their translations for Dread Wolf also anagram-friendly?

Was there a conversation, way back in a previous game, where they told some translator "yo, you might want to pick the loc of Fade and the loc of Dread Wolf so that this crazy thing happens. No, we can't tell you why, it's a massive spoiler."

Haha, I think about that sometimes too. I wonder what they did with "Krem de la crème" and "Krem brulée" (besides the french version, obviously). And in the french version, the fade is called "L'immatériel", which is pretty straight-forward, but I don't think it would work there... maybe they had a completely different pun. Ha, anyway...
