I did a playthrough with all the trials turned on, and 90% of what I got was trash. The best thing I got was a shield schematic called the Knight's Second (I think) that was pretty sweet.

Knights Second schematic. Sigil of the Bronto for my warriors. Got one cool staff- The Heart of Despair. Everything else been not so good- wondering if any of the other new schematics (Armada Captains Knife, Chromatic Greatsword, etc.) are going to be a Trials Reward.

Armada Captain's Knife is a trial reward, but I think it only drops at low levels (it's only tier 2, anyway). Chromatic Greatsword is a reward for scoring at least 80 points in Trespasser's fireworks minigame.

Thanks. I thought the Armada knife was tier 4. I tried that stupid fireworks minigame about 15 times and got 77-78 a few times. I won't waste anymore time on it.

I got the Armada Captains Knife schematic yesterday as a trial reward. Character is still in Haven.

Did a lot of reloads.

For mid game they have good items like the explosive arrow bow.

The enhanced elemental pact belts are awesome for player controlled mage or Vivianne.

Knights second is awesome.

Heart of despair staff is quite good on Sola's or Dorian.

Yep. Had it appear for me pretty early on too - level 6 or 7 IIRC.

It has a great critical % chance and has a chance to spawn elemental mines around your target on hit. I love it.

I swear chromatic great sword was REALLY easy compare to the harlequin minigame for the brand sword schematic....  as for the Topic. Im still new to all the content on trespasser but i have gotten only sigils so far.

Do the trials come with the trespasser dlc? I'm asking since I don't have the dlc and don't know when I will get it.

Yes, they come with Trespasser, and you earn Shipment Rewards as you play randomly. I'd recommend starting a new play through when you get Trespasser because it adds a lot of stuff to the base game.

It's not a specific trial AFAIK. What happens is that whenever you kill an enemy with a trial active, you earn credit towards a shipment (the exact amount is not shown so you can't tell how close you are to getting something). When you earn enough, a shipment appears in the chest. The more trials you have on, the faster your shipments come - and some trials make you earn credit faster than others. On my current playthrough, I'm running Even Ground and the bear one, and I got two shipments before IYHSB, and another straight afterwards.

 

The contents of the chest are only determined when you loot it, so you can save and reload until you get what you want once you've got a shipment. Some items do appear to require you to be a certain level before they appear - not sure what the exact cut offs are, but I got some stuff with a level 15 character which I didn't see in 15 mins of save/reload on a level 8. The KS schematic was one I got on the former.

Just got a 1H sword- usable at level 18 or higher called 'Bolt'- deals elemental electricity damage. Can equip a one handed longsword grip and a rune to it. Pretty good damage dealer- especially to anyone vulnerable to electricity. Like Brand and Chromatic- it's only the hilt- until you swing it- and then it is an electricity stick.
