How dare you defile Valor-ie's upgrade slots with HoK!

Seriously though, the Reaver already has heal on hit and two abilities that restore health. Why put heal on kill on your weapon?

It lets me free up a ring slot :P Ima take it off eventually

I think what we're trying to say is we don't use any HOK on the Reaver. Rampage is always up. No need for HOK. I use devour instead of MB but you have the amulet so you're probably using both instead of combat roll.

Personally, I have Armor Pen and Crit Damage on the GS. Attack is fine too if you find yourself using the Avvar more.

Dragon Rage Ring(if I could ever find one) + Crit Damage Ring seems to be ideal.

Mighty blow ring seems like a waste since you're using Dragon Rage most the time. The extra 20% crit damage gets used on Mighty Blow AND Dragon Rage.

So, you're welcome. You just received an extra 30ish% crit damage and 10ish% Armor Pen when using Dragon Rage.

I haven't used a heal on kill ring or weapon upgrade for my Reaver in a long time. She has so many ways to regain health that I feel like putting any heal on kill on her is a waste.

I am thinking of dropping Rampage entirely i rarely use it that why i have hok. I like to get close to death for extra damage but that is near impossible to do :/

Inquisition armor!  Seriously I think the Reaver looks the best in inquistion armor.  It is like one of those suit of armor you see in the castle comes to live.   One time someone puts healing mist on my Reaver.. I was thinking.. what did you just do?  I was trying to get to the top of the chart over that Elementalist.   Maybe it was him who did it to sabotage me.

You know, I have also been thinking about dropping Ramapge too. I think I will still run without heal on kill and just rely on Devour.

Grumble...hipsters...grumble...

At least I'll get to teabag you on a Reaver. That will be BSN worthy.

I put HoK on my Hakkon too because i've replaced devour with combat roll. On nightmare, it will save you from knockdowns and other effects.

Don't forget about the flat 20% attack speed and 20% attack bonus. If you're at, say, 20% health then that's 120% more attack. As a Promotion Lord you probably have at least 100% attack from Willpower alone and 50% from Dragon Rage upgrade (more than that due to ability points and possible Fervor stacks but we'll ignore those for now). That's a minimum of 250% damage prior to Rampage or low health bonuses. 120% more attack would be 370%, or 48% more damage. Rampage gives a 20% boost to 270% attack, or 324% total (29.6% more damage). So worst case scenario using Rampage constantly is still 87.5% of the damage of no Rampage (and assuming you're *always* at 20% health without Rampage)...and Rampage gets better (or exceeds) no Rampage with more attack, higher than 20% health, Fervor stacks, etc.

One word. Katari. \m/

Charging Bull. Mighty Blow. Combat roll. 4th skill choose for your taste.

Some people think that he is meh..you now l2p type of people. I suppose they've never fought a wyvern.

Incredibly agile and fun class to play.

Ok thanks for the advice everyone.

So if I'm understanding correctly, I should unlock all of a class, say, warrior, then get 1 mil exp, and that will unlock dragon scale armor for all of them?

Damn, I already used mats on a silent sister proving cuirass and arcane warrior enlightened robe.

+1

The argument could be made that he is obsolete now due to the Silent Sister or the Avvar or whatever, but he remains a fun and solid character. Some of my fondest memories of this game are from playing the Katari.

Is it just me or is Charge becoming totally unreliable?  Both Katari and the SS...I mean silent Sister have been giving me huge problems lately.  Run a fews steps bump a team mate, a nug dropping, a tiny rock and stop with my tail in the wind.

He'll never be obsolete if nothing else because of his voice acting!  He's probably my favorite personality of all the kits.  But yes, I agree.  The katari is still viable and entertaining to play.

This happened last night. I think I tea-bagged him every game, actually. He wasn't being a very good sport about it. Would just get all silent.

Those belts and these hipster builds have upped my opportunities substantially.

"This pleases me." The Katari was my first love, first banner, first char that let me l2p with its dynamic gameplay. Its a shame he has been left neglected but he is still a really fun class and has the best overall dialogue.

Adding Hok to the Hakkon Greatsword is like putting brand new windshield wipers on a car/truck without a windshield!

Add more Critical damage & Armor Penetration (can get to 127% crit damage/27% armor pen. overall w/ tier 3 material) and call it a day after wrecking everything in your path!

I put 8% HoK in my GS as well. It is not like the reaver need it, but I do use the 2h sword on other classes, which most certainly need some HoK. I prefer having the ring slot open for flexibility. With 8% on weapon I do not need a 10% HoK ring on some classes (10% HoK ring vs 20% Critical Damage Ring vs Ability Ring)

I don't like Armour Penetration on the Hakkon GS since it is not really that great for the Avvar. Also Armor penetration is not that good on high base damage weapons compared to low damage ones due to how the damage formula works. (not dps -> base damage!)

This is what I use now Snakebite: http://da-skills.net...110,110,000,000

Items: No HOK what-so-ever. Dragon Rage Ring, Crit Dmg Ring, Amulet of Physical Immunity, Superb Belt of Urgency, and extra armor pen/critdmg/atk% on my hakkon gs

I was seeing wayyyyy larger Dragon Rages at 3/4-full health...even more at less than half (which is also when my speed increases from the belt. I get down to almost death then pop a devour and restart the cycle. Whenever a shield guy gets near me i just Mighty Blow him then go to town on his feeble body...mwahahahahahahaha

Oh and War Horn often for that sweet sweet XP ;)

For the longest time I thought he said "ever fought a woman?"  I was wonder why her head will fetch good money....
