If they allow a threesome, Bioware will have less power to push us towards their canon romance. No way they'll do that, because then the story arc would have to allow us to make our own decisions, and what kind of game even does that?

Threesome as one night-stand like DAO and DA2 or some longer arrangement? I guess both are somewhat possible, one night-stand more so cause BW has done it in earlier games. Though neither are quite things I need in my game.

My headcanon Warden totally had a threesome with Zevran and Morrigan.......

It was epic.

I've had Warden's go Foursome.... which is quite amusing when Isabella meets up with Liliana and Alister.  Hell I always have Merril with me at those DA2 encounters just so she can miss something dirty.

Are we talking about a threesome as in a non-romantic sexual non-relationship between three people or a threesome as in a polyamorous relationship?

Yah know I really wouldn't mind seeing Bioware taking on the latter.

I think the latter could be very interesting provided it was done and executed well. I would not expect it and want it to work with every companion seeing as polyamory is understandably not for every person.

Silly me for thinking ME:A is a sci-fi shooter/RPG game set in another galaxy.

Do we really want a smaller version of The Sims?

Have some faith in Bioware. We need Bigger version of The Sims.
Honestly I don't care, because we won't get asari-hanar orgy anyway, but BSN has no fuel for meaningful discussion at the moment. And I'm kinda tired of discussing Ark Theory over, and over, and over again.

I was unaware of any scientific law that prevented threesomes outside of the milky way.

I remember the first time playing ME1 and I thought I could have my cake and eat it too (Romancing Liara AND Ashley), turned out I couldn't.  Even though this is a troll post, it would be interesting if this was a possibility.

Another reason I think EAware should rid their games of romances. Their fan base seem to think of their games as dating, and sex sims. Please no threesomes, orgies, or an over saturation of romance information. EAware needs to focus on actual story, because their storytelling is subpar at best. This is why companions are seen as the best parts of their games, which isn't a bad thing, but when it takes precedence over the game's story that's a problem. So no threesomes for me.

Agreed completely to be honest. But sadly the unfortunate truth is they found their niche market in the veins of lonely hopeless romantic fools who seek romantic connections with scripted fake people. Because of this, I come to realize that this will never go away unfortunately, so the next best thing is to simply hope that they don't go overboard with it.

If you consider the Sims to be a game which main focus is on sexual and romantic content then that is likely because your main focus is on sexual and romantic content. Me? I like to make different worlds with different themes and different challenges of which mods helps a great deal.

In fact, a lot of people who play the sims enjoy doing various challenges with different rules which can range from making a family that has lasted through ten generations with drama, difficulties and deaths to a person attempting to outwit their kidnapper by playing the compliant captive all the while risking being found out and killed because they are also trying to secretly earn enough money and form outside connection that will allow them to escape.

There is also prison challenges, horror and non-horror asylum challenges and so forth with mods being an optional ways of adding to the atmosphere of each challenge.

Did you know that through work and a few mods you can make a post-apocalyptic world in the Sims 3 complete with working firearms, an actual virus threat with stages of infection and means of infection, legitimately dangerous zombies and survival by forcing player to rely solely on harvestable foods? That's the world and the theme I am currently putting the final touches on before leaping into. I've even crafted my own rules that I must additionally play by. It includes dice rolls!

The Sims can be a very versatile game that can provide many different experiences depending on the amount and depth of the creativity and interest you play it with.

While some may use Bio games as a means for that, I disagree with romances being removed.

I believe is some situations the romance can better the overall story. I will only pursue a romance if I feel that it fits the story and feels natural - I romanced Ashey in ME 1 and 3 but skipped romance in ME2. I only romanced Lelianna in Origins because of her character/personality but skipped romance in DA2 and DAI.

It has its place. I agree though on orgy and threesomes though...

How about no? Imagine the threads that would create: "But I wanted character A and character B in bed with me, not character C and D! I wanted two females! I wanted two males! Give me one of both! And aliens!"

(Oh wait, already happening)

The next thing you know Bioware gives you in their next game the option to choose two of any of all your squadmates who all just happen to be up for a threesome regardless of species/gender to "bang" at once. It would become ridiculous and comedic at best.

I rather the series (and the sex scenes that would come with those combinations) not border on pornographic levels or become some poor idiot's sex fulfilling fantasy. Isn't the "romance" with one person enough? Some people really need cold buckets of water splashed over their heads.

I think the only way the could honestly do it well given the usual limitations would be to have an established couple as companions and have the PC romance them both. Which could be interesting, but it's probably unlikely. Which is sad because I can't imagine that couples are the galactic standard of relationships. And while I'd love to see more positive polyamory relationships in media, especially games, I'd really only want it if it was done well (rather than playing into stereotypes).
