Really how odd the 'Clean' and 'Sanitized' Bioware of today included a Dom and submission romance, full frontal nudity and more. The 'Bioware' of your mystical edgy time, in the game just prior to Jade Empire, was too scared to state out right 'This woman is in love with you if your toon is female' was a fan of the fade to black and so on. So no Bioware hasn't gotten 'Clean' or 'Sanitized' it's merely that a three way relationship would be very complicated to do right, Jade Empires was done in a very lazy way. 'Oh while you where away we got to talking and decided we'd share you' in a very clumsy and frankly a little.... well frankly... off putting 'Oh your such a manly man that we realised just one woman wasn't enough for you...' I know that's not how it was put but yeah. (Especially given the fact it only happened for a Male Toon) 

 

If they where to do such a relationship well, it would require a lot of questions to be answered and problems resolved. I would say that is the biggest bar right now to such a relationship being shown. They could do it the way Jade Empire did it, sure, but that would be weak, very weak. Biowares romances have been getting better and better as time passes. With DA Inquisitions being the best in a single Bioware game yet. (Mass Effect had many that where better but that was because they had had multiple games to build. So do not make fair comparisons, Liaria after three games) That through leaves to new problems. 

 

I would be interested in seeing a Threeway relationship, or really any relationship that was different, but only if it was done well, not in a lazy half assed manner where the difficulty is solved off screen.

I totally agree with you but I thought the suggestion of an orgy might scare the devs off so I thought best to start off small and work our way up.

I'm pretty sure they've at least talked about it, considering they've said at con panels that they're looking to finding some way to make ployamory functional in-game. The problem, from my understanding, is with programming, not "sanitizing". 

 

It'd be awesome if it happens. I still headcanon that my Hawke, Isabela, and Fenris are all in a poly relationship with each other Would love to have an actual canon opportunity to try it. 

 

Programming? Can't imagine it would be all that complicated, if anything it would be more on the writing and animation/visual cutscene side where they would have to create additional dialogue and sex scenes to support multiple romantic partners.
