Have you seen drunk Cassandra when on really low approval?

Most companions have their more intimidating / questioning side.

had to youtube search a video, I've only gotten it once.

That's never happened to me since I've always had the Wardens join the Inquisition. The only companion I've even been on the outs with is Viv and for that she redecorated Skyhold for me, without my permission.  :P

If you do get on the outs with other companions I think you can cause Cass to get drunk, Dorian to get punched by you and leave, Solas to get punched by you and not leave, Bull to turn on you, Cole to leave, Sera to leave, and I'm not sure what else. I've only seen those things on youtube, though, not first hand.

Ever since I saw the frighteningly realistic render of him without a beard on Deviantart, that's all the Browall shock I need.

God what an ass.    His argument stems around the fact that the Inquisitor is a 'self serving Tyrant' for sending the Wardens way when it was a PERFECTLY LOGICAL DESCISION.

Cole's is sort of harsh, too.  He's like "YOU'RE NOT HELPING PEOPLE", but in his sad kicked puppy voice with a hint of anger and he basically tells you he's going.  If you try to stop him?  "Forget."

When I think about that, it's sort of traumatic.  Cole, while being one of the easiest companions to get approval with due to his spirit nature deal, also has one of the highest 'I'm out' threshold as well, it seems.  These numbers aren't accurate, but say you have to tank Cass to 25 to get her drinking scene, or Blackwall to 0 to get him to stop off.  Cole's set more like Cass's or Viv's disapproval, around 25, rather then the Blackwall/Dorian 0.  With Fair Weather Friends on, if you're not concentrating on the 'NPC fetch quests' (more killing stuff, sealing rifts and all that- and even if you do a few, it may not be enough) and you start off on bad terms (he knows if you conscripted the mages and doesn't like it), do one or two judgements he's not fond of (tossing someone in prison) and then allow the Wardens to stay or Celene to die... that'll be it, he's gone, and there's no option to try and talk him out of it like there is with say, Dorian (who you have to punch to get to leave).

...At least in return he's probably the easiest companion to get high approval with.  Just do quests.

When this happened because of one of the trials being turned on I was floored by it. Not because the writing of the scene worked in the sense that it was delivered.

Metagame knowledge from other playthroughs completely destroyed Blackwall for me here. He was Thom Rainier. There was no other way of seeing him as anything but a completely pathetic hero-worshiping arse after the scene! The way he marched off was also hilarious. That should have been the moment our Inquisitior could have killed an NPC like in Origins. It would have been the chevalier duel Blackwall raved about in other playthroughs.

With further knowledge of his character the piety level is off the charts here! "How dare you not set a standard for my redemption!"

Thom Rainier was responsible for the incidental murder of an entire family. He fled that scenario at the costs of the lives of the men he ordered to do the deed. What makes this scene all the more ridiculous (with meta-knowledge) is that what causes it is a decision made earlier. Choosing the line "I'll do it for myself." During the coronation builds up a rather nasty level of disapproval in several characters. Here it tilted because of the Warden's (whom he is not) are expelled. Even if player chooses it for their protection from body possession by Corypheus!

It screamed to me, "I'm getting the hell out of here before this guy asks me to do something that my character has already done. Something terrible!" Making Blackwall the most disgustingly unforgivable character in this game for me. He is a self-serving, delittante of Grey Warden history for some childish idealism he has applied to them. The hardest part of this scene; outside of not being able to kill him-was trying to reload and recover from the hypocritical position for the fair-weather friends achievement :P! I had to kill an ass-load of darkspawn in the Storm Coast with him in party to get approval. Not only that but avoid that taunting exclamation point in the stables while doing so.

Before this, I did everything I could to ignore how horrible his actions actually were. Saving him from the noose every time! Since the Inquisitor can't renegade his sorry butt-Blackwall is swinging this play through for the first time! That scene stamped his becoming an ornament on the Gaspard tree of authority.

While I don't agree or even disagree with this, I wanted to point out the bolded part, and how similar that is to the BSN.

Since none of the choices are good or evil, Blackwall's negative reaction to sending the wardens away is the only logical negative reaction IMO since they are his heroes.

Unfortunately hes not very happy if you send the wardens away :(

He clearly wasn't your "bro", as he only responds this way if his approval is so low that he wants to leave anyway.

If he actually likes you, he's just sad about it (but he doesn't fault the Inquisitor for the decision).
