Ah, an over eleven minute long video to impart information that can be communicated in less than eleven seconds by just writing things down in a numbered list.

Don't mind me.

I think leaving Earth is overrated and definitely shouldn't be higher than the encounter with Sovereign on Virmire. Furthermore, my emotions when leaving Earth have nothing to do with the child Shepard is autocharacterized into caring about more than the hundreds of thousands of equally worthy human beings who are being vaporized at that exact moment within the immediate vicinity. A lot of where ME3's emoting falls flat is when it attempts to wring pathos out of the player using Random Human Child.

Joker saving the Normandy by unshackling EDI is an honorable mention at best for me. Same with Citadel party...which is sort of not a "moment."

Romance scenes for every character in every game as a single package is not a "moment." That's kind of insulting to the complexity of those relationships actually.

Priority: Rannoch is rated too high, given the writing issues this entire act suffers from. Priority: Tuchanka is about right. Both should go by these names in order to capture the more general emotions. The end of the Tuchanka arc is about so much more than Mordin.

Suicide Mission is a worthy, if uninspired choice for first position.

Should be in the mix: Horizon, Collector Ship, Mordin's loyalty mission, the encounter with Vigil on Ilos, the encounter with the Thorian, Peak 15 and the encounter with Matriarch Benezia, hijacking the Normandy from impoundment on the Citadel, Derelict Reaper, recruiting Archangel, Haestrom, Tali: Treason.

Actually pretty much all of these are more worthy than Joker limping around the Normandy or "getting laid."

What's so great about Vigil?  It amounts to a codex entry.

For one, it's probably the best executed twist/revelation in the trilogy. Whereas the "Collectors are Protheans" revelation falls flat, and the Catalyst is the most polarizing moment of the 3 games.

As far as plot twists and revelations are concerned, Vigil is held in high regard.

The list is lame as hell, it didn't list the undisputed best moment, the Renegade council dead w/ Udina as councilor ME1 ending.

There's a reason the suicide mission is #1. It is the same reason why ME2 was listed as #1 out of 100 games in PC Gamer Magazine as the greatest PC game of all time for 2014 and #2 for 2015. It's because ME2 is the best in the series, hands down. This is just more proof of that. Thanks for the vid :)

If the list is topped by the culmination of being railroaded into playing Cerberus Space Therapist and doesn't even include one of the upmost narratively significant and haunting scenes from the franchise, story sure as hell ain't the reason.

I would've put seeing both squadmates being killed by Harbinger on the beam run and talking with Harbinger at the end of Arrival near the top of the list along with the suicide mission

Too bad that wasn't allowed to happen. There is never an all human council.

Meeting Sovereign for the first time would have been higher on my list. Discovering how strange and seemingly invincible our enemy truly was was a mesmerizing and chilling twist.  (In fact, the only revelation that's stunned and captivated me more in a BioWare game is discovering that my character was Darth Revan in KOTOR.)

But the Suicide Mission absolutely deserves first place because of the powerful feelings of tragedy and/or triumph that it evokes in the player. It is, in my opinion, the greatest single mission/quest in BioWare-game history.

Hopefully Mass Effect: Andromeda will recapture the magic of Mass Effect 2 (without telling the exact same story; I want to stress that our character doesn't always have to be the lord and saviour of the galaxy for a roleplaying game to be great).

"Omg, they have a different opinions! What a crappy channel!"

I swear there's some five years old among us. Anyways, pretty good list, Vigil was definitely missed tho, same for The Fleet Battle. Nothing to complain.

TIM's death scene in ME3 is actually much better if you shoot him vs. he shoots himself. It's the perfect cap to his character re: Shepard when he looks at Earth and says, "I wish you could see it like I do."

Sovereign speech never did anything for me. It's the standard boss blowing hot air up your ass speech that I've heard a million times. If you're going to choose an ME1 speech, it better be Kirrahe's.

Agree with Tuchanka, Rannoch, Leaving Earth, Suicide Mission, ME2 intro, Citadel party, and I'd add the sequence where you exit the Citadel and walk outside of it fighting your way to Sovereign, Grissom Academy, entering Afterlife for the first time on Omega, and saying goodbye to your squad at Earth in ME3.

I believe what go against the Vigil scene is that it's on ME1, the weakest game in the series. Talking with soverign is also another great moment that could be higher on the list, but ended up being lower than other moments.

Anyway, the trilogy has so many awesome moments that any list with "only" 10 is sure to leave some outside of it that will bother some people. Personally I think this is a valid list, that remembers some truly memorable moments of the trilogy, even if I don't agree with the order. I'd put the whole Tuchanka Mission and the Suicide Mission in #1 and #2, I don't only know the other. I believe the Sucide Mission is more memorable, but Tuchanka is a culmination of three games.

Wrong, ME3 is the weakest game of the trilogy.

Any arbitrary list like this is kind of bullshit in the end. All of them are, so I am not sure why it's important, everyone has their own list, leave it there.

Opinions man. Nothing is right or wrong when dealing with a subjective medium of story and visuals.
