I already asked this somewhere else, but I wanted the opinion of everyone on this.

Do you think this little fellow could be a companion in DA4 ?

Considering that DAI took part 10 years after DA2, it could be possible.

I think he would be a great and interesting character.

Depending on people's DAO choices, he may not even exist so I doubt he'll become a companion based on that alone.

Still too young. And in some play though's he does not exist. So only an important npc only

Oh yeah. I forgot that.

So many choices. That's why I abandoned all hope of having Alistair back as a companion.

But the fact that he possesses the Archdemon's spirit and is not gonna more developed is a shame...

That's the other thing, he can also be born / exist and never have had the archdemon soul to start with, if Warden was romantically involved with Morrigan and chooses not to do the ritual he's born a normal little boy. Too many variables, I think we were lucky to even see him as a kid but it seems his DAI appearance was solely to take away that soul from him. DAI seems to be trying to tie up / get rid of a lot of loose ends, while only creating a few itself. Starting to narrow down the variables in story for the next game, making DA4 a little easier for the writers.

That's why I think the story of DA4 is gonna be long after DAI.

Not happening. They're not making a companion who might not even exist in some world states. No chance

Leliana...

I believe that was explained at the end of Tresspasser, in some people's games.
As for the OP: No. That Child has no reason to be in the next game. And all these returning characters is getting boring. How big is Thedas that ALL these people just happen to know every protagonist?....it's beyond ridiculous at this point.

Yeah, I know.

I mean, being dead is not an excuse for BW writers as long as they want the character to appear=)

I see what you mean. But Leliana is quite different from this kid, in that she already existed in the DA world, and didn't rely on a choice being made FOR her to exist....if that makes sense.

I see your point.
And i agree that Kieran is not likely to appear as a companion
As all the possible LI. I have read in some interview that they will try to avoid returning characters who could have been someone's LI
Leliana is again an exception, but that's her=)

While I think having a former young character from the series later join as an adult companion, more likely Bevin, in some cases they just wouldn't be feasible. Connor and Kieran could each not exist or be dead in some world states.

Bevin from the Redcliffe of DA:O is the only viable option.

That being said a rogue companion that is just past immediate childhood would be awesome, sort of like Oliver Twist or Jim Hawkins [Treasure Island], but skilled with stealth, stealing, daggers or bows? And not as a romance option either!
