So, let us bring on the Rage Age, where there is no hope for civility or respect, just flame wars and banhammers.

But before we can do this, we must figure out how such a thing can be done!

What can BioWare do to make the Dragon Age forums explode with X vs Y threads or rage quit threads?

Would making Cullen cheat on and then divorce a married Inquisitor bring the most calamity to the forum?

Perhaps introducing a Tevinter companion who keeps slaves around would cause the most controversy?

Maybe BW could make the next protagonist talk like Sera?

Maybe BW could make a romance mandatory?

What crazy ideas can you come up with that would cause chaos to enter the Dragon Age forums?

(no need to take things too far, this is meant to just be a fun thread.)

Hmm, have to find ways to get a wide range of people grumpy really.

Solas hooks up with someone else, finally leaving Lavellan alone for good. Double points if it's a spirit.

No romance options at all.

There is no way to get any companions to like the protagonist, also you have to pay them a lot to stick around and help you out. Go bigger: you must have 3 companions on full payroll to do anything in the game on top of this.

The protagonist is the best one we've ever had, and dies at the end of the game utterly failing his/her quest.

Worse tactical camera then DAI , scratch that. No tac-cam at all, in any way shape or form and a worse AI.

The only romance options available are same-sex ones.

Not "a romance", but "the romance" - they choose one of the companions and s/he will have to romance the protagonist to move the story.

The protagonist is the best one we've ever had, and dies at the end of the game utterly failing his/her quest.

Expand this as "optional" - you'll fail only if you (don't) do some minor thing in some backwatter village.

---

No race and gender selection for the protagonist, neither the character customisation - only one character available.

Here's a thought.

Bring back the Warden.

As a prisoner who is experimented on by the villain and turns the Warden into a monster (maybe a Harvester) that the player has to kill.

If the Warden is already dead... then have the Warden replaced by Alistair. If Alistair is dead, then Cullen.

Or if both Hawke and the Warden are alive, the villain has them fight each other, then smashes them together into a harvester along with their LIs, and then the player has to kill it.

--------

Another thought, have whoever is romanced die. If no one is romanced then no one dies, so the death is essentially needless for the plot.

Kill the inquisitor offscreen in a footnote on twitter and then never mention what happened to them in-game.

Hmm... that sounds so familiar, like it happened with a likable secondary character in another game...

Just have Bioware launch Dragon Age 4 - that's enough!

Here's a thought.

Bring back the Warden.

Then give him/her five minutes of cutscene invincibility (think Clarel versus Erimond)...

And then drop a wolf-shaped anvil on his/her head...

Or better: drop Shale on him/her

Squiiiiiish

But let's not stop her: let's had some salt to rub on the wound:

Bring also back the Orlesian Warden.

And make him/her avoid the Anvil/Golem/Whatever that would squish the surviving Hero of Ferelden and continue the story as a guest star party member.

I can only think of these at the moment :

  • The elves have been redesigned to look thinner.
  • The next protagonist has an over-the-top Orlesian accent.
  • You can't choose your class at the beginning as you are forced to be a warrior.
  • The next game is rated PG.
  • No dragon fights in the next game.
  • Solas doesn't get mentioned at all in the future.
  • A compulsory multiplayer element in the next game (you must complete it to progress the story).
  • No hair options at all.
  • No healing potions or health spells.
  • There is only the nightmare difficulty and you must have 'friendly fire' turned on.
  • No more Dwarves are in the game. Orzammar and Kal Sharok get destroyed and the surface dwarves mysteriously vanish.

I would forgive everything Bioware did wrong with Inquisition if they made that. I had three orgasms just by reading it.

Tevinter magisters finally succeeded where Alexius failed... traveled back in time, killed the inquisitor and Solas wherever they were just before the Conclave, killed Hawke before s/he released Corypheus and killed the Warden - because why not. And in so doing went back in time again to "correct" few mistakes in the past and they lived happily ever after until the causality hunted them down ;)

Edit: well, killing "inquisitor" would be useless... so Divine, more fun for the South ;)
