Since the latest patch and DLC, my game has been crashing to desktop w/ no error message every 10 or so minutes in combat only. No warrior in my last run...

I've only found massive threads with people complaining and no fixes.

Any? I'm getting sick of it just closing all of a sudden.

Perhaps updating Drivers may help; worked for me at least once since the last patch. All of my other combat crashes were due to more passive Lunge & Slash upgrade option.

My game crashes every time Cole, Varric, Solas, and Inqi go to Redcliffe for Cole's personal quest. The same happens with Caer Oswin and Cassie's quest. Not cool. Patch 10 and/or Trespasser have broken a whole bunch of things for me.

I guess I'll try that. It doesn't seem to want to download the latest driver...

The only other thing I haven't tried is... *gulps*

Lowering my graphics... DON'T MAKE ME DO THIS BIOWARE.

How awful! I'm so sorry D:

I already voluntarily choose to use Graphics Quality set to Low; less flash and smoke density, and helps FPS. It also looks a bit more natural for elemental spells, IMO.

Thanks! :sob:

That's only the tip of the iceberg really. Banter doesn't trigger anymore (I installed CE Banter Trigger; works for now), post-Skyhold I could only talk with Solas about Corypheus, meaning I couldn't get Fade Haven or Solas' personal quest to start (not due to low approval, if anyone wonders)...

I can't think of another Bioware game as buggy as DA:I. And almost a year has passed since launch!

Banter was fixed for many in the latest patch, though I have not had that issue.

The other CTD's I have had were in Cole's quest when attempting to go to the Hinterlands from Skyhold. Pressing 'Enter' when the area loading screen appeared seems to have solved this problem for myself.

DAO still crashes when using Mana Clash on my system unless the FX are lowered a bit, and NWN1 had the Shiny Water problems. Much larger game in DAI with far fewer problems in my experience.

I hadn't had any real CtD issues since Patch 2-or-so, until Patch 10/Trespasser.  The game became almost unplayable with repeatable crashes during combat, and most annoyingly, cutscene transitions (e.g. for Cole's PQ).

Tried many of the suggestions I'd seen on various forums, including playing in "Windowed mode" and reducing graphics to LOW, but what worked for me was removing the "Lunge-n-Slash" ability from every Warrior.  (Note that this was successful even though there is no combat, and I had no Warrior's in the "party" when resolving Cole's PQ.  Weird, huh?)

Not a solution, just a work-around, but at least I can continue with the playthrough!

About two hours ago I did the Cole quest and had no issues whatsoever :/

I'll see if I can maneuver around this. Cheers for this possible help!

And I, too, had absolutely no issues with DA:I save the banter bug (which is still too long a wait... but I digress) and even after getting a new, awesome graphics card a few months ago? No hiccups.

Then this! I mean it's more of an annoyance seeming it doesn't screw up my PC and make me have to force close it... but it's bloody annoying!
