Avvar are human, so...

 

I'd prefer having race choice in DA4, but a robust assortment of origins a la.... Origins.... would go a long way towards ameliorating the lack of race choice if we're stuck as humans again.

 

Of course, it would be great to have both... a la Origins. Wasn't an avvar or chasind background even on the table at one point back then?

Don't know but it would be pretty cool.  I would actually be okay with being stuck with a human as long as there were different origins choice instead of being yet another human noble.  Topping my personal list would be playing as an Avvar.  Would love that.  Would also like an option to play as a former Crow.  Especially if they make the Origin choice actually mean something.  Playing as a Dwarven Carta member woulda been a lot cooler if they had put some interactions in the game to reflect that.

I liked being a commoner in DA2 but then you find out about the noble blood ugh.

I'd like to have the option of being a human from the slums in the next game. The slums of a great city in a powerful country. Nevarra maybe. Or Rivain.
