Haha, a few months ago, in a thread about what defines Mass Effect, I wrote (as a joke) that ME could be anything from games to books or movies to theme parks.

Didn't realize they already had it in the works. :D

Frankly, from the description, I am not quite sure what this is supposed to be but it sounds awesome nonetheless. Maybe I'll have a chance to visit California next year. If so, count me in, whatever this is.

4D?  What in the nine hells is that?

Well, I'm only about two hours from there; I'll check it out when it opens and report back.

Revisit the Galaxy Aboard a New Mass Effect Theme Park Attraction

September 29, 2015

by Conal Pierse

You’ll soon be able to hop aboard Commander Shepard’s favorite ride at California’s Great America. BioWare is teaming up with Cedar Fair to create a dynamic 3D adventure set in the Mass Effect universe.

The interactive ride, curated by a live performer, will take guests on a journey to a distant planet, where they will face off against larger-than-life foes and fight to save the day. Using cutting-edge 3D technology and 4D effects, the ride throws passengers right into the action, creating a fantastical adventure that they won’t soon forget.

Featuring familiar sights and sounds along with fantastic performances, it’s an experience you won’t soon to forget.

The ride is expected to open in 2016 at California’s Great America in Santa Clara, California.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't read all of it. Still don't know where that is though

Basically about 45 minutes south of San Francisco depending on traffic and how much you speed.

No, you get better bagels, we get this.

I'd rather have the bagels, I literally stopped eating them once I moved form NY. Nothing on this coast comes close.

As someone on the other side of the Atlantic, I'm deploying my frown. Interested to see how this turns out though.

Never heard of this place, although I'm familiar with the company's flagship park, Cedar Point. If they'd put this there, maybe, but if I'm going to drive a couple thousand miles in one direction or the other, might as well go for the better coasters.
