I spoke to a friend who is highly placed on PS4 leaderboards, just sharing his opinion...

8,000,000 gold challenge implies that we are going to be shackled to DAIMP for as long as it takes us to tire of the DA - sequel - MP.

I'm guessing we may see an upturn in gold dispersal rates.  The sale of platinum however would probably be a killing factor if this were to be a dream realised....

Biower thinks we'll play only DAMP until ME:A is ready.

Sweet dreams.

Isn't it 10,000,000? Currently at ~700k. Unless we get sucker punched with some actual content, I don't foresee ever finishing this or Legendary Slayer.

I have collected 2,308,398 it appears but since the legendary banker thing is not retroactive it shows me as being at 245,202 for that.

Banking totals imo have taken a substantial hit from the fact that the messengers are almost impossible to complete at any higher level and the fact that they had soped up the nugs and made them just run away with no pauses.

You say that....I've been the PromotionLord playing the most recently...even then only like up to 5 matches a day. I rarely see the others on..unless they all decided they hated me at once xD

And to think, 2,375,342 out of 3,000,067 gold earned by your average promotion lord was earned by gold leeching.

And 75 out of 100 promotions from non promotion lords was earned by kill/xp leeching.

But that is not correct very very rarely do we see true exp leecehers as in people who stand around until booted or die right away.  In 95% of the cases the people stopping to do treasure rooms could also just as easily complete s game as those who rush ahead to kill everything and ignore gold.  There are far far far more gold leechers than exp leechers.

But if you stop to get the treasure room and someone else kills everything on the map while you kill 1 thing (or a handfull of smaller things or nothing) you are leeching their xp.  Or you can just admit that it is a team effort and as long as everyone is either killing or grabbing gold it really doesn't matter.

No, I fully intend to kill all enemies in the level, hopefully in a coop manner with my team getting us all max exp.  The other person has no intention at all of breaking any pots or opening chests.  See the difference?  If the person that runs off ahead goes down do you think the people getting the gold will just sigh and lay down to die?

Not only are they getting all the benefit of the gold that they have no intention of picking up in many cases they lower the total exp because they have killed very thing of with to getting team exp bonuses.

Intent doesn't actually accomplish anything.  You can intend to kill everything all you want but if someone else does it for you, you are still leaching.

I think you are missing the point he is attempting to articulate.  Two scenarios:

Scenario 1: Both players are attempting to gain as much gold and as much exp as possible.  The groups split up, one team continuing to kill the enemies, one team clearing treasure rooms.

Result from scenario 1: both teams contribute and are rewarded from both goals: collecting gold and exp.

Scenario 2: one group of players is attempting to gain as much gold and exp as possible, the second group is unconcerned with gold, only interested in exp.  The groups split up, one team clearing mobs, the other attempting to clear treasure rooms, but not always able to do so because of the speed of the mob clearing team.

Result from scenario 2: the treasure clearing room team benefits from the joint goal of exp, and from their additional goal of gold accumulation.  The mob clearing team, however, benefits both from their goal, exp as fast as possible, but also from the goal they are not attempting, nor contributing to, and occasionally thwarting.

Rise of the Tomb Raider has no MP so that will be short lived.

If ME:A MP is on the same engine and has the same region locking I will not be buying it.

And in both cases, no one is leeching anything.  Everyone is contributing in some way by either getting gold and killing.  Is it optimal to skip treasure rooms?  Not really but just because someone plays difference and skips things does not mean that they are leeching anything.  Me personally, if I were in a group where someone was skipping all the loot I would not stay after the match was done because that is not how I like to play.

Yeah,it i s made with the same engine(Frostbite3) and will likely have the same matchmaking system, unless Biower tinkers something to improve it,but my guess is that won't,'cos they showed us they don't care.
