Something happened to me earlier & I'm not sure how it came to pass, either I was in a match with 3 others that really thought I was good, or a match happened with 4 unobservant people, let me explain:
Did a PUG match earlier with a Necro, was a perilous match & it went great, at the end of it I promoted the character & changed to the Assassin, the other 3 players in the match were all high level & quite experienced (character banners & even a HB portrait). My Assassin was level 1 & we all readied up, not a problem really, expected a quick match with me doing what I could, my main goal was to make sure that I didn't eat floor.
As the match started (vs Venatori) nothing seemed too out of the ordinary, until about halfway through zone 1 when I got belted for a serious amount of damage. I don't know why, but something told me to hit the touchpad & I noticed that the host had ninja'd the difficulty to to NM. I hadn't noticed the change in difficulty & I can't help but wonder, was the host confident in the teams ability, or had nobody (as I received no kick votes) noticed my character level?
Point worth noting I wasn't the first one to go down...but I was the first one in the fade (halfway through zone 2).
Does this constitute a humble brag?
