It can if it's Platinum Collectors. 

 

Blow him up every chance you get, don't revive him. He'll be out of gels by wave 6, so you can crawl past his score while he's in spectator mode the rest of the game.

I'd love to see a melee only juggernaut game, it would be pretty boring though I don't know how people can do that all the time.

Some people have done the most crazy solos with lvl 1 kits and predator pistols etc - how about a Juggernaut heavy melee only platinum solo? Anyone pulling that off deserves a one way ticket to the local asylum......

Absolutely possible, if the player using the Juggy is a superior player.

 

Have you guys seen newer players using the GI? Seems like they prefer spectator mode over hunter mode

Unless I see in a solo that the Melee focused Jugg can manage to get to wave 6 Cerberus / Glacier in 7:20 or less...

 

Also, with the time it takes for the jugg to drain 1 thing. the GI has already killed 3 things

Melee based GI would be possible and interesting to watch solo.

Can't help but notice how OP mentioned a melee build and not melee game tactics.  Hmm.

 

Did the Jugg really melee anything more than a paltry 1 or 2 foes per wave?

Did the Jugg rock a Reegar/Acolyte combo or something similar...using a big ol' wall-sized shield for constant RHA?

^This.  The GI is ridiculously squishy, and will go down all the time if someone doesn't know what they're doing.  Also, a lot of new players don't really "get" how to use Proxy Mine as a stagger to give yourself time to take everything out before they can shoot you.

Yes, it did last night, by about 2000 points, on Dagger Hazard/Platinum. You were a Jugg with a Reegar on host, and I was scrubby and spent a wave in spectator mode, so yeah, congratulations. (And I'm saying this a non-sarcastic, sincere way).

Yeah, some of the "minor" details were left out, like how I was a level 17 with ny proxy mine no specced for de-buff yet, because of lack of points and such.
But I understand what he was trying to do, since I open that thread months ago, that the Melee-oriented Jugg sucks and ahouldn't be used that way, he's trying to prove me wrong. But the thing is, a Reegar with a melee blade attachment isn't a pure melee-focused Jugg.
Anyways, why do I even care? I'm not mad or anything like that, just found these threads interesting. Why such an urge to prove me wrong with not even the said conditions?
