I rage quit tonight. :pinched:

All the pugs were great. Had fun building up my Ele. Became much more comfortable with the mechanics. Even had some good laughs when a few matches glitched something terrible.

So why the rage quit? Crafting! (and secondarily, RNG <_< )

I have looked at some helpful links that Dragonracer has pinned. But I guess I didn't spend enough time paying attention to crafting new armor, for my silly little toons. Due to a terrible curse I have with RNG (and that seems to be most games that employ it  ), it took me forever to find enough loot to break down, that had higher tier mats. Last week I was able to craft my Lego some purple gear (it still isn't god-like, by a longshot...but HEY! It's purple B) ), so I thought I had it figured out how to properly deduce which armor to craft, to get the most bang for the buck. Got the last Royal Sea Silk, that I needed to build the armor. Put the rest of the mats in.....

It is 30 armor LESS than the less-than-stellar RNG armor I originally had for him.

Why, oh bloody why, can't we salvage unwanted/unneeded armor??? I have a ton of it now (since again....cursed in RNG). Even if we can't get all the mats back, getting something for those inventory wastes of space, would be SO HELPFUL.

....I think I should go play solitaire.

Uhm... It doesn't matter AT ALL which mats you take to make the armor... So you can take iron and other tier 1 mats... The armor value will always be the same...
Save the good mats for weapon upgrades

Refer to the gif in the OP. Oh what the hell.... Once more with feeling!

Thanks for the insight.

(I did say I was derpy  )

**EDIT**

Wait. I knew that the mats didn't matter when you were crafting a new "character armor" (i.e. to gain access to said character). But even the later, so-called higher tiered armor, it still doesn't matter which mats you use?? I guess I need to look at some guides to how many - and at what time they become available - armors there for these classes.

I believe that i am correct in saying that the armour you craft does not take inventory space up, just the upgrades etc.

Yeah...I figured it didn't take actual inventory space. It's just a bunch of crap to scroll through, and I really want another way to get mats. ;)

(the whole wish in one hand, *blank* in the other, which one fills up faster - kind of comes to mind here. :P  )

Craft the staff disciple (blade I think) using metal/leather to then salvage for cloth ... that can help a bit.

Not true. While on my endeavor to craft every piece, it began to pop up the message that I had too many items, and needed to delete some.. so now I have every piece of armor, rotting away, filling my precious ring and dagger space...

Actually, I'm pretty sure it does take inventory space up.

Main materials to keep:

Cottons

Leathers that improve Critical Hit Chance/Damage. (I think that's Bears and Wyverns)

All other mats are just numbers.

I haven't really needed to craft armor since I got the drakescales, but when I was crafting I just use the metal, leather, and cloth that I had the most.  I believe they are iron, ram leather, and silk.   None of those are any good in making weapon upgrades.

Decided I should consider upping the derpitido, and pose a question - to anyone wishing to chime in.

When is a good time to step up to Perilous?

Before anyone drops the screwy faced Lucille Ball gifs, I do have a Lego that has been promoted twice, and has.....urmmm, "okay" gear (purple armor, and so-so weapon/shield). The only time I die on Threatening, is when I hit the wrong damn button (derp numero one), or I get lost on FC (derp numero two). Also, my Ele is coming along nicely (and I saw the raw power of one Saarabas and my Ele, in a couple duo matches on Threatening last night ;) ), even if I fudged up the whole armor thing. I still have plenty of silk - which I am beginning to see it's best purpose for making character armor. :P So I will be upgrading his armor shortly.

Thoughts, or red skulls all around??

Go up to Perilous ASAP. Just bring classes you are comfortable with until you are used to it.

Try it a few times now, if you get murdered or frustrated then just back it back down

You have purple armor, blue accessories and weapons around level 20?

Go ahead and go into Perilous now. Don't measure Peilous by Darkspawn or Qunari because fighting them on Perilous is like playing the other factions on Nightmare.

Yeah, Perilous isn't so bad, unless you get the Qunari.

And I'm pretty much in the same derpy noob boat as you.  I just try to stay mobile and stealth res people.  I haven't gotten kicked yet, and trust me, there are way worse out there.

Spamming my own thread, but might as well ask a few quick questions.

1) Is it just simply lag, that causes it to be difficult to res someone? There are times when I try and res someone, and I am mashing the hell outta the "F" key, but to no avail. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to make it rather annoying.

2) Do most of you bother with putting grips/hafts/blades/pommels/etc. on non-purple weapons? Or do you save your mats for upgrading the unique weapons you pray to the RNG gods for?

I had other questions, but multitasking is hard. :pinched:

Thanks for any replies! :)

1) Seems you have the gift for auto teabagging, don't hold it back, it's a gift!

2) If you are using those weapons sure put mats on them, but save your rare mats (save cloth and cotton) or better ones for the purples to come.  You will get an overabundance of mats soon enough though not the best ones so go ahead and use them if you are using the blue weapons.

LMAO  He means that you have to hold the button down to res someone.  Like with the trebuchets in Haven.
