2) If you are using those weapons sure put mats on them, but save your rare mats (save cloth and cotton) or better ones for the purples to come.  You will get an overabundance of mats soon enough though not the best ones so go ahead and use them if you are using the blue weapons.

Use Tier 2 materials without hesitation. Cotton is the only exception. Except for Cotton(Heal on Kill) you should have an abundance of higher tier material. I wouldn't use Imperial Vestment Cotton or Lustrous Cotton on anything less than level 23-24 uniques. Regular cotton you may find is worth using if you don't have any "Heal on Kill" rings. But, think twice before using it.

There is also a link in my signature to a thread where I've listed my favorite weapon upgrades for each weapon type as well as the materials I like to use. I'm guessing you lack in-game "cunning" and recommend you add critical chance(offensive leather) as well as attack(offensive metal)

If you don't want to use or don't have the materials I listed, you can take a look at the following to see which material will work best for you:

Leather: Offensive

Critical Chance:

Tier 3: Great Bear Hide - 1.75% Critical Chance
Tier 2: Bear Hide - 1.5% Critical Chance

Tier 1: Druffalo Hide - 1% Critical Chance

Metal: Offensive

Attack:

Tier 3: Everite - 1.75% Attack

Tier 2: Paragon's Luster - 1.5% Attack

Tier 1: Iron - 1% Attack

Question, do the "heal on kill" rings stack?  Do they also stack with that particular stat on armor or weapons?

Yes, all forms of Heal on Kill stack. Note, "heal bonus" does not = HOK.

For example, lets pretend you have two Superb Life Drain(+10% HOK) rings equipped. You would have 10+10 = 20% HOK.

If you also have a "27% Heal Bonus" Armor upgrade. You can safely assume you're receiving 20 * 1.27 = 25.4% HOK in total. 5.4% extra.

This. It's not supposed to, but it does.

Wow, I never realised. That is bad. I remember my early days in this game and it was general knowledge (certainly amongst my friends) that it did not. In that case we really need to be able to get rid of the rubbish that we will never use again or even at all. The ability to delete without salvaging would even be ok, then at least we have the choice.

LMAO  He means that you have to hold the button down to res someone.  Like with the trebuchets in Haven.

lol! Yeah, I do hold the F button down, but sometimes it just doesn't register. It doesn't happen that often, but enough to be noteworthy. Me thinks perhaps lag. But who doesn't like a complimentary "tea-bagging", from time to time. B)

coldwetn0se, I just want to gush for a moment and tell you how much I love your user name.  I am extremely jealous that I didn't think of it.  :)

I was there with you in that match were we met, what's his name, Commander Druffy?  LOL  I've never seen him before.  Wow, no match for my noob Reaver with no good equipment and no warrior promotions.

Also, my disability prevents me from being able to use voicechat in case anyone was saying anything.  :)

lol! Thanks. :)

Well, I do have an MP appropriate reason, for using "coldwetn0se" (even though this is the first game ever, I have played MP with  ).

I give you Oscar...(the picture speaks for itself, on the fitting MP bit ;) )

You were in a PUG room with me?? Then let me apologize for any weirdness you may have heard over the mic. I chatter to myself and occasionally sing or hum. When I remember, I use the "mute" on my headset, but.....not always.

I died aplenty this weekend, due to Druffy and his stoopid 'sploding nugs. And RNG continues to be am elusive Big Foot, concerning anything of worth. Hell, even the salvage is coming up crummy. LOL!

A quick apology to any/all puggers that either died because of me, or I made Druffy/Saarath/random mooks, that much stronger. My paultry promotions are sloooow going. HA!

Haha, once I learned the Combat Roll technique, I got bored this weekend.  Sorry to everyone who exploded as I rolled away from that mess (and even survived sometimes).   :P

Here are my little ones when they were still fairly young, Ofelia and Artemisia.  Yes, Iggys go prematurely gray.

@Tielis - at least you were smart enough to take CR. I just ran in, guns blazing. *splat!* Except for my Hunter and Ele. I played much more carefully. But then they are made of tissue paper.

<3 your little ones! So sweet. :)

Well, I did splat a great many times, trust me!  I really really want to try the Avvar and I hear he *really* wears tissue paper.  I would love to just play my Arcane Warrior forever, but I hate that in order to get the other stats you have to promote all three classes.  :(

And would that be a warmdryn0se?  (P.S. I don't have cats.)

I'll show myself out.

That is the very class I have been working on, since last night. I am all over the map, with this character. One minute, my timing on Hakkon's Charge + Korth's Might, is grand. Followed by a somewhat well executed Furry Storm (or whatever the whirlwind talent is called  ). The next, I can't hit the right key and the right time, to save my poor paper bag wearing Skywatcher. :pinched: I do really like him though. He makes me chuckle.

As for the cats' noses; I would say warmwetn0seSometimesDry. Does that work? B)

I definitely remember your name cropping up several times this weekend! It was enjoyable playing with you.

I wasn't aware there WAS inventory space. This is news to me. Once I get to many, I suppose I'll be salvaging the ability bonus rings I've been holding onto but never using (like the ability duration rings don't seem that useful).

I wouldn't worry about it, I have at least one of damned near every ring there is and have never hit the cap since it was raised the first time. The silent inventory killers are armour upgrades and runes. Keep an eye on those.

By all means, enlighten the public. Have you found hitting the inventory ceiling a problem? And if so, are you hoarding upgrades despite already having upgraded everything?

Or were you just spamming bullshit like your other posts today, maybe?

I spied you too! You were doing awesome. :) I think we may have ended up in about five or six matches together. Can't remember what class I was playing, in most of those matches. If it was my Templar, or my young Skywalk__err, "Skywatcher", then I humbly apologize. Belinda was smeared....often. And my Avaar was very slow to execute (user end issues, most definitely  ). At least I got good at picking up gold. Sorta.

My Avaar handling has improved, and he is actually quite fun. His chatter (along with the Alchemist - love getting those little gal dwarfs when I drop into a pug) make me giggle. I am easily amused. B)

So does anyone know what the cap is? Or maybe I should not be lazy, and search the info out.

I have already started salvaging both runes and upgrades, but that is in part because I needs material (and I do get A LOT of those two item types. <_<

Thanks for the info!

Have had some fun groups, over the past week or so. Again, a big thanks to Banxy and Ispan for taking me through some Perilous runs. Cheers! :)

Met a couple who game together, and have been running some matches with them. They too are new, and I was able to pay-it-forward a bit, on their second day out in MP (had a level 20 support heavy Saarabas, to run with them). They are great players though, since they are brave and will try just about anything/everthing. Tons of fun, and great cooperation! The room is kept public, so other players have been able to join. A few have even helped us try out some runs on Perilous. Very generous, and some great chitchat to go along with the gameplay! B)

It is somewhat notable, the leap from Threatening to Perilous. With the jump from Routine to Threatening, it feels like normal progression. But Perilous - I only feel helpful if I play full support (since I only have 18/17/15 for promotes). I have soloed with a few character types, on Threatening (not all, mind you, since some I seem very inept playing  ), but I feel like my armor is paper mache, and my damage output looks like a joke (rng - no friend of mine :pinched: ) on Perilous. I only now have a handful of level 20+ weapons, and only two of them are Unique.

It's like the curve in difficulty is not proportional or relative, as it seems between Routine and Threatening. So when does someone feel they are more useful on Perilous? How many promotes/gear type (I do have all the Dragonscale and upgraded tier2.5's) should help? I am seriously grateful to have some of these people to play with, that are more than happy to try things out on Perilous, but schedules vary (as they do ;) ), and sometimes straight puggin' is all you have.

B)

So when does someone feel they are more useful on Perilous?

Feeling is relative. Effective is results is not. Get the right L2P you can do perilous with whatever you want.

If you want to learn the game, solo private matches and watch how every unit moves individually.
