Ever since the Silent Sister was first introduced, I regularly am finding myself being 1 shot annihilated in Perilous no-less.  No sound or even particularly vicous enemy in the vicinity....  Happened to the dude with 200 Constitution too, so you know I can't be tripping....

Qunari Super Shields

 

If you play Pokemon Qunari shield bearers used Bide

 

If you don't play pokemon:

Sometimes their shields will glow. This means they're not only blocking damage, but they're storing damage. When they die their shield explodes for more than what was stored.

 

I assume they did this to troll solo players. "Well, looks like you defeated the enemies on your own, but too bad this one killed you after it died because nobody is here to revive you. That's what you get for not being a team player."

I assume they did this to troll solo players. "Well, looks like you defeated the enemies on your own, but too bad this one killed you after it died because nobody is here to revive you. That's what you get for not being a team player."

It never happened to me while soloing,but then I am pretty cautious not to give too much ammo to qunari shield guys(I think it is five times or so)

I am with the op on this one.  Shield explosion or not, each time I have been killed there has been ZERO indication of an enemy about to explode (unlike the end boss that actually gives you a warning).  We kill a whole spawn, they are dead and gone, no red spots nearby no lingering shield glow, nothing, a few seconds later.  Instant death, 100% unavoidable.

I rarely solo, when I do, it's cos no1 joined/or I am Arcaning with Hakkon and Electric belt...

When you say one shot annihilated do you mean dead or just taken down to a bare minimum red bar?  Because there is a bug that crops up that when you enter a level you can suddenly be glitched to near death.  Had it last night in a game.

Yeah I had the area transition health leech once only and I documented it.  This current one perhaps may refer to lag since it really only affected me whilst playing with a couple of fellas from the Mid-East.  Maybe it's where I have been hit a couple of times unbeknownst and the enemies all drop dead on my screen but then after that the damage they inflict registers enmasse, still shocked that it happened to my friend since he has almost 200 in each tier of promotion....   I'll be sure to have an eagle eye and a share button ready :)

Oh, then that's lag. Your "damage taken" data wasn't recieved by your system and your system wasn't sending the "damage calculated" to the host so the host system kept sending the "damage taken" data over and over until it recieves a "damage calculated" signal was received which resulted in a flood of damage taken signals.

 

Did I mention I have no idea how the internet works?
