So I have a couple questions that have been bothering me, and I haven't seen them directly addressed on the forums.

1.  Why is there no option to turn on auto-run, or a toggle?

I can kind of understand not having auto-run enabled on an FPS, but never have I thought I got somewhere too fast in DA, SP or MP. And even if I had, I could have just stopped moving.  Precise movement is not required in DA:I.

I really wish there was an option for auto-run.  Between Destiny and DAIMP, I am about to go through my second PS4 controller.

2.  Why are there two versions of the mobile forums site?

When I load up the forums on my phone, I get a mobile forums that has a black and grey background.  However, if I go to the full site, then load back into the mobile site, I get a blue and white mobile site.

I don't know which one is newer, but I prefer the blue one.  It just seems to load a little faster and seems a little more intuitive.  Why are there two sites and can I make the blue one my default somehow?

Spoiler

4.  Why are low level purples items a thing?

I've become numb to it now, but low level purple items are a huge let down.  Specifically when you are in the lower loot buckets and actually getting any real purple could make a huge difference in your gaming.  Just getting all the dragon weapons would be huge for me.

Was there a time when your character level could limit which level items you could equip, and this is a relic from that time?  Are there challenges with which you can only use a lower level weapon?   It this just the developers way to test out different procs without making an overpowered high level weapon?

Thanks in advance to any answers anyone may have.

I'm on PC and I use AutoHotkey to move because I'm disabled and need to fine tune my controls.  With it you can set an autorun toggle.

It's not against the TOS because it doesn't have anything to do with the game, just your mouse and keyboard controls.

What I hate is that you have to hit "sprint" again every time you stop moving or jump or fall.

Actually what I want to know is if I could disable the ` key on PC.  Instead of 1, sometime I hit the ` key and now nothing works because I am in that console mode.

In the old days it was a dime or a stack of pennies.  :)

I'm surprised no one knows why there are two mobile sites.

Since there doesn't appear to be any answers, what is everyone favorite saraabas (SP?) builds?

I've tried glyph/leap/bacon/barrier and it's kind of boring.

Glyph is awesome, but you use it once and you run three abilities the rest of the entire instance...

Barrier is great, but I find myself always casting it in p3, and constantly casting p1 and p2 to try and maximize barrier uptime barrier bot'ing.

Bacon barrage is a nice fill in, and p1 and p2 leap are great for mobility/protection.

But this build is super boring.

If no one is around, bacon barrage p1 and p2 just to get to barrier p3.

If enemies are attacking me, leap p1 and p2 followed by barrier p3 or leap p1 and barrier p2 and p3.

I looked over the /Drasca builds, but wasn't in love with any of them earlier.  I know there were 2 wavebend threads on this earlier, but I can't find them.

Personally, I think Ring of Assandra is a must. Have you tried out Athlok Burst+, Ring of Assandra+, Leap, Barrier?

I usually run Ring of Assandra+, Leap, Glyph+, Athlok Burst+ but I don't need barrier. Glyph would be the first one I replace, even though I think it's a great team buff.

Playstyle goes like this: (Keep in mind I have little to no experience with the barrier spell)

1. P1 Leap into the mobs, P2 Ring of Assandra , P3 Athlok or P3 Barrier

2. P1 Athlok or Barrier, P2 Athlok, P3 Athlok or Barrier

3. P1 Athlok or Barrier, P2 Athlok, P3 Athlok or Barrier

4. P1 Athlok or Barrier, P2 Ring of Assandra, P3 Athlok or Barrier

U can always get out of dodge quickly with P1-3 of leap.

I suppose if you can't be a little aggressive you could get rid of Athlok and replace it with Glyph or another ability. Athlock is super fun and effective, though.

I will add that I've played with Kissraven on his Barrier/Glyph+/Athlok+/Ring of Assandra+ and it seemed to work well. He's not a fan of the leap, I'm just a sucker for zipping around.

I was told those were added in because people were complaining about not seeing any Unique weapons in the earlier loot table, so Bioware put in low level purples to appease players.

I'm not sure if I believe this explanation because according to this:

https://docs.google....v7aWfhI/pubhtml

Low level purples were always in the game. I think it is absolute bull crap even though I've moved up a loot table and am starting to see better stuff. I'm still in the mindset that I hope I get a Superb Rune instead of a crap purple weapon because superb runes will break down into more mats.

I like running the Saarebas a few different ways, all of them using a Superb Pact Belt.  If you don't want to use the belts, just stop reading right now.  Note: Two of the builds do not require LoS, so they can be used relatively safely from behind cover.

Electricity: Requires Line of Sight

  1. Itwa-Adim Explosion (opener)
  2. Gatlok Blast (which strangely deals ice damage for the first projectile from the flow stance) and Ring of Asaaranda (flow)
  3. Bacon Barrage (finisher)

You could probably take Saar-Taar Shield instead of Bacon Barrage for your finisher.

Fire: Does not requre Line of Sight

  1. Athlok Burst (opener)
  2. Ring of Asaaranda (flow)
  3. Asaara's Leap and Wall of Hissra (finishers).

Use Asaara's Leap to close with groups then Athlok Burst to to AoE fire.  If you need to hide behind cover, Wall of Hissra and Athlok Burst hit through walls.  You could substitute Saar-Taar Shield in instead of either Asaara's Leap or Wall of Hissra; whichever one you find yourself not using as much as the other.

Ice: Does not require Line of Sight (I would suggest this one.  Keeps enemies frozen and interrupted 95% of the time)

  1. Either Asaara's Leap to get close to enemies or Ataashi's Breath to AoE freeze (whichever you prefer as openers)
  2. Ring of Asaaranda (flow)
  3. Athlok Burst with the upgrade (finisher)

Your fourth skill can be whatever.  Athlok Burst can be spammed constantly once you get the chain going and haste from the ring.  The flow stance is very useful to interrupt annoying enemies like Gladiators, Archers trying to use full draw, Demon Commanders trying to scream.

Some passives you should always take:

  • Guardian Spirit (duh!)
  • From Knowledge, Strength (Max HP increases when enemies die)
  • In Ignorance, Weakness (Immune to interruption when casting finishers)
  • From Power, Mastery (Meaty chunks everywhere!)
  • Which Strength, Endurance (Damage reduction while casting.  Invaluable to people who don't have tons of promotions)

If you have a Heart of Pride, you can completely go without Asaaranda's Ring, and take another skill.  I would suggest Hakkon's Wisdom if you have it though.  So much more damage that way.

-snip-

I get more teabags off on Snake when he's playing the Saarebas than any other class. Good luck out there.

There were some low level purples early on, but they later made lower level versions of the higher level purples, and higher level versions of the lower level purples.

Yeah, so sometimes I forget to take the belts off when I bring a level 1 into Nightmare; that hardly counts.  And occasionally I die because I fight out in the open in the middle of a large group of enemies because my teammates (read Proto) are to lazy to actually kill things, and just sit there watching, waiting, and praying for my occasional death.

Basically, just don't go Rambo with a weak team.  Fight from cover.
